“cinnamon roll - when I saw the cinnamon rolls at Wingards Nursery I wasn't impressed. they looked like a giant chunk of bread with a glob of icing haphazardly slapped on top. I asked the young man working, have you tried these? what do you think of them? he said, oh my God best thing you will eat. $5...ok I'll try it. later same day, I sliced that roll like a loaf of bread. noting the thick ribbons of creamy sweet cinnamon in my slice. I microwaved my slice for 10 seconds...took my 1st bite... savoured the delicious, perfectly sweet homemade cinnamon roll....and had another slice. I'll definitely be back for another! I'll definitely be sharing with others! one bite of that not so pretty giant chunk of bread with icing slapped on and I had an epiphany...one of the best cinnamon rolls around!!!!!”

“My family and I are out of towners we were on a college tour weekend. We were late getting into Columbia and wanted a good dinner. The reviews led us to Mr. Friendly's. It was a Saturday night, and we had no reservations, but were there late and so there was a table available. The experience started with the helpful woman at valet. She was so friendly and accommodating. She recommended the fried green tomatoes, which were great. The appetizers and mains were excellent, but the sides of creamy grits and greens were the best I've had. They also had a great beer and wine selection and excellent pricing. Definitely a satisfying experience, and I would go back again anytime.”

“It is so amazing when you have a hidden gem in your city. Di Vinno Rosso gives you beautiful ambiance, great food, drinks, and a romantic feel. The appetizer meatballs were so fresh and flavorful. I had the Bolognese was off the charts good. Wifey had the chicken parm. I've never seen it like this, but the pesto on top of the pounded round chicken was so juicy and flavorful we both were blown away. It's the best parm in Columbia! The dessert was really good also. With drinks, our bill was still under $145. The manager was super nice.. he took our picture and gave us a complimentary Italian drink. You need to make sure you keep this waitress. She needs to be one of your best trainers if you could just get them all to be as wonderful as she was you would have a great store. Not that I'm saying anybody else was bad. The store was very busy and they were all taking care of their customers very well. Thank you for keeping the meaning of WAFFLE HOUSE alive and working. One thing I want to complain about is that it's always too cold in the stores.Parking: Parking lots are small and of course the WAFFLE HOUSE is usually busy. I lived in Europe for three years. I used to eat, gyros all of the time fresh off of the roller. I have a higher standard than most people for a Gyro. The Gyro at this location was OK. It was not amazing and it was not bad, it's right in the middle. The Tzatziki sauce was extremely cucumbery. They should use less cucumber next time. The sauce overall was about a five out of ten, it was average. The overall atmosphere inside of the restaurant is great. There is plenty of seating and a nice bar. They do not sell liquor at this location but they do have wine and beer that you can buy. The waitress was wonderful. She made sure I had everything that I needed and that I was ok.”

I kept the food for a week in hopes to see her the following Friday. I drove to town that Friday and she was in the same location so I spoke to her about my issue. Even though, I did not have the food with me to show her proof they I wasn't trying to get over, she still replaced the food. I wouldn't mind returning during a busier hour to take in the atmosphere with my family, on my own, or even with a date. But again, it was Easter. Next time. The manager even pulled me aside and told me that he liked seeing an empty plate. Everyone else got to go plates. But with food that good, it's almost impolite NOT to finish it. My only complaint with the small plates/ appetizers is that it's exactly that lol very small. Definitely not shareable! However they are good.
