“Excellent flavorful food with lots of spices. Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants we've ever been to and we've been to hundreds. Some dishes were too salty and some without much meat but other than that everything was perfect. And if you want it spicy you will get it spicy. No americanized weak spice levels here :)“

“Great place, super friendly and helpful staff. I was travelling for work and stopped for dinner 2 weeks ago, had lamb rogan josh and veg samosas... excellent. I am travelling again, and made a point to stop again, Tuesday night is a buffet and fresh Dosas... wonderful. I had the buffet... i never had a dosa before, so the staff helped with some recommendations, along with making sure i got some iddly(?) and some chutney... there were 4 chutneys to choose from, i chose the coconut, excellent. If I lived in the area, I would be a regular there. Parking is a little dodgy, the lot is small and full ... i parked next door, the auto shop was closed.. a lot easier. Super great place guys, thank you so much for the great food, welcoming atmosphere, and great service!!! I've tagged you as a favorite in google maps, so if i make it back to Columbia, SC, I'll be sure to stop again!“

“Straightforward review:1. Food is great! Much better than you would expect from the location and very tasty. This will certainly become one of our go-to places when we need a quick, healthy bite.2. They’re very kind. Great service and genuine people.3. Atmosphere is average - we order for take out :) they compete differently.4. Prices are fair and portions are very good.5. Overall, surprised by our positive experience and will definitely be back again!“

“We had the pleasure of visiting the restaraunt this evening where we were very well taken care of by Hamid. We got to know our server and we shared a very delicious multi entree meal that filled us and left us with plenty of leftovers. I don't plan to go anywhere else for authentic Indian food. This place has set the standard! Thank you for your kind service and for the yummy meal! I will definitely be back for more! The Lamb Rogan Josh was our absolute favorite out of the 4 entrees we ordered.Vegetarian options: On the menu it has clearly labeled and large sections of vegetarian options for appetizers and entrees.Parking: Plenty of parking available.Kid-friendliness: It is definitely family friendly. We witnessed many families come and go as we were welcome to enjoy a couple of hours at 1 table.Wheelchair accessibility: There is close handicap parking with a painted walkway and a ramp up to the curb.“

“This is my second time having them and their food is so good ! I always have a craving for Indian food. I forgot today was Monday and they're usually closed but they were open? Google says 5-9 pm so not sure if they need to update their hours on here and their website. When I walked in, I was greeted immediately and the lady helped me with a menu. When I was ready to order, it was very quick. She said it would take 20 min, but I think it honestly took less than that. I ordered, samosa, boti kabob, chicken tikka and special biryani to go. I ordered a mango lassi to drink while I waited. Their prices are not bad for the type of meat they serve, I spent about $60 in total. First, their mango lassi was SO delicious, even my picky little 6 year old loved it. It was sweet and just a hint of tang from the yogurt but it was so creamy. It was the perfect little drink to wait for our food. The samosas were fluffy with crispy edges. I'm not a fan of peas but they gave it a nice texture. They were also pretty spicy but not too bad, maybe about a 2/5 on spice level. I did wish it had more filling as the dough was thick but overall it was a 7.8/10. The boti kabob was really good, the lamb was cooking perfectly. I ordered the special biryani because it had shrimp chicken and lamb. The last time I ordered it, they just gave us chicken. This time , they had everything but they only gave me 2 pieces of shrimp! I also asked for no vegetables and when I opened it , there were tons of onions and some tomatoes sitting on top. Idk if it was for flavor or it was a mistake but I was a bit disappointed. Luckily I was able to get them out and it wasn't anything else mixed. Minus the hiccups , it was so flavorful and the spice was perfect. The meat was cooked perfectly, easy to cut through for smaller pieces. I used the tikka masala sauce on it and it was the perfect pair. I think I'd rate everything a 9/10. I would definitely try them out if you haven't already. They keep their establishment clean and they are really sweet and make sure they serve you good food.“

“I have been going to this restaurant for over 5 years and is the only option when I am craving Indian cuisine! I am from up North and have to say it has been very hard to find GOOD authentic food that is not traditionally southern, since I moved here. However, this place does not/will not disappoint. The flavor, spices and care that goes into making this food is commendable. I know good food and consider myself a "foodie" and anyone who says the food is bland, must not have taste buds! Luv this place and was so happy they brought back the buffet on Sat evenings! The Chef, who is the owner, comes to your table and asks how everything was and I can always say, "delicious", that shows that he actually cares about his customers experience and is not just about the money as a few other posters claimed!“

“Out of all the Indian restaurants I have tried in the Columbia area, 2Gingers certainly has the best food! I would rate 5 stars if they had a buffet like they used to, but unfortunately they probably won't bring it back. I was greeted by Ashish who was incredibly patient and helpful with me while I was trying to figure out what I wanted to order. He was so kind to take the time to explain the different dishes that I asked him about since I couldn't remember what they were called. Unfortunately I am not able to enjoy the food and staff at 2Gingers as much as I would like as they are a bit on the expensive side, but the food is always delicious!“
