After a disappointing experience earlier, I saw the Five Oaks Farm Kitchen and decided to give it a try. I was NOT disappointed. As I looked over the menu I wanted to try everything offered but settled on meatloaf, mashed potatoes, & cornbread with a side of fried okra and was not disappointed. The food was prepared perfectly, was very tasty, and the portions were plentiful. Tale of two halves. Checked the book ahead online early am, no line 'come on in', checked again right before we left home and said the same. Arrived 5 mins later and looked in the car lot '25 minute wait'. Checked in at the desk and waited. And waited. And waited. Eventually I had to go and ask and I was told "We called you 3 times". Out party was sat in the lobby and at no point did anyone call. Now here's the deal. My cell is obviously UK, and maybe the system didn't work to...read full review

Warm & cozy with a huge helping of southern hospitality. The food is everything you would expect from a farm restaurant. Generous, delicious portions. The biscuits are perfect. Grab a cinnamon roll to go. It's worth the calories!
