“Liz and Erica were great! I had not been here before and they made suggestions from the menu, offered me an appetizer selection, and helped me feel welcome. The scenes from the balcony were great and the bar area was clean. The dim lighting and modern touches were perfect for a relaxing night after a long conference day. Thanks Liz and Erica! I will definitely be back when I am back in Austin--which is often.“

“Having been to the original Snack Bar on South Congress back in the day, my expectations were high. This place is great! I've been here 5 times now in the past 2 months. The drinks are consistent. All the food is from the farmers market, and supporting local business seems to be one Snack Bar's top priorities! If you are old enough to remember Orange Julius, you HAVE to try the Grandma Pendleton's Orange Dream. Absolutely amazing! And I highly recommend the hummus and the La Texana pizza.Today was a little chilly out and they had the fire pit going, with heated seating pads! One night they even played a movie outdoors! Truly an Austin gem for those looking for that old Austin vibe!!“

“Honestly this was the best meal we have had in recent years. Everything about our meal was amazing. The restaurant itself is beautiful and inviting. Our party of 5 was celebrating and enjoyed sharing many dishes. Particularly outstanding was the bread service, the roasted cabbage, oysters, the cacio y Pepe and the smoked wagyu pappardelle along with the carnitas. Our least favorite bite was the Cobia entree. Something had to come in last place! Loved our server. Never felt rushed. PS the podcast in the bathroom was a great touch! Thank you for a wonderful meal!“

“We came for the fish and chips Tuesday special. We got the larger size for $16 and it was a big portion. I would try the $10 portion next time, but you know I ate it all! The fries were good but they gave me like half of the fries they gave my husband and I am pregnant. I needed my fries. I just took it as a sign I didn't need them, but I wanted them. They were great fries. The patio is nicely shaded and has a nice play area and surprisingly you can't hear the freeway. Food came out super quick and was nice and hot and I liked the tarter sauce. The water had a little bit of a funky taste. Overall great experience and I would try again for other seafood items.“

“What a knock-out restaurant! Right off the bat the service was excellent and very professional. The cook time for what we ordered was perfect. Felt like swarm service with just one server and she was knowledgeable about everything that came out of the kitchen. Our mini beef wellingtons, deviled eggs with caviar, and the PERFECTLY cooked burger were the most phenomenal parts of our dining experience. Would highly recommend for a nice family outing or romantic sneak away, because the building and atmosphere are stunning! Well done Chef Justin Turner & co.!Dietary restrictions: Any server is happy to relate dietary restrictions or allergies to the chef.“
“Best sea food!!! We had clam chowder and crab cakes. They were really tasty. Will soon come back!!“

“This bar is cool! I only stayed downstairs so can't comment on the club upstairs (only open on weekends if I remember correctly) but the downstairs area is nice. There's a long central bar with lots of bar seating but only a couple (3-4) tables beside that so not a huge amount of seating. I walked by once on a Saturday night and the place was totally popping so a reservation would prob be needed, but I came back with a res on a Tuesday night before going to a show across the street, and all the tables were wide open, just a few folks at the bar. They do a happy hour from 5-7 PM on weeknights where you get the special cocktails for $10. They're fun! I tried a couple with my friends and they were strong, enough that I went to my show with a nice buzz. The decor and low light in this place is nice too, it's "cathedral/church" themed. The bathrooms are also quite clean, all the way in the back just past the spiral staircase. Overall this is a cool place! The downtown parking situation can be a nightmare but apparently downtown street parking is mostly free mon-tues after 6 PM, and it's not too bad all other days re: price (but good luck finding any thurs-sat, it's always packed and usually you have to go for an expensive garage). Overall I do rec giving this place a try! It's too central/inconvenient to become a regular haunt but it's got great vibes.“

“Met a group of friends this weekend at Mia’s. First time there. Had the garlic shrimp and it was awesome. Kelsey was our server, and despite the large group service was very good. I will return.“

“I'm coming out of 6 years of Yelp review retirement to applaud Mike at the W XYZ Bar at the Aloft hotel in the Domain. It's my first time in Austin, and I'm hating every minute of it, but Mike and his expertly crafted cocktail menu have made it just above bearable. Also, ordering "Ass in the Sand" is a power move.“
