“The food was amazing. You're served with chips and salsa when you get seated. The food wait time was great for it to be so packed. I had the Beef Fajita with double rice and queso, and my bro had the Chicken Fajita salad. There's not a lot of parking, and the inside is very compacted. If you're a person that's uncomfortable being shoulder to shoulder, with in arms reach to someone you're not eating with, then you might wanna order yours to go. It's definitely time for them to get a bigger space and another location. However, you won't be disappointed with the food which I was there for. Authentic Mexican food frfr. I'll definitely be back. It's so much on the menu I wanna try and you will too. Check out, Juan in a Million, if you're pass through.“

“first time here mainly cause I'm not really a Mexican food type guy because I'm picking on toppings I need to pick off basically everything that makes it Mexican ? nonetheless they accommodated and meal came as I requested...hot fresh and extremely good!!Highly recommendParking: parking behind and on the side street of TorchysKid-friendliness: seen lots of kids there, they seemed (unfortunately) fat but fortunately happy!Wheelchair accessibility: one level and double doors in the front entrance“

“I work nearby and decided to try Julios for lunch especially after seeing that it had 4 stars. It's a quaint little restaurant that appeared to be family owned. The chicken nachos were delish!! I like the fact that they use the whole chicken and not just the breast.“

“I’ve been to a lot of Torchy’s but never at this locations. I had great service and great food (hands down) probably the best from any Torchy’s I’ve been to. Shay provided great service and was really accommodating for my large group at Torchy’s. I’ll definitely be coming back.“

“Kinda loud .. but with Mothers Day and UT graduation.. lots of people early. The food was really good. I just wish it was a better cheese in the Bob Armstong Queso. Named for a former Texas Land Commissioner. That asked 4 something different, one day, this has been on the menu ever since. Please Google Matt he sold from a cart that his family made food.. Boxer, Restaurantier, and so much more.. gotta tell you. First time we went was around the time that Matt passed. We did not care for it. But today, many years later, it was very good.Parking: Gaint parking lot .. but does fill up at busier times“

“Unique Austin! Funky and festive! Food is delicious and plenty to share. Queso with avocado, ground beef and sour cream with puffy chips - perfect appetizer to have before a Lady Longhorn basketball game. Wait staff are friendly and quick. “I knew it was going to be good, but I had no idea it was going to be that GOOOOOOOD!!!! The sweet potato taco was the best veggie taco I've ever had. For all the carnivores out there my husband had the crispy beef tacos, lengua (yeah it's a thing) and chicken tacos. It's BYOTequila so we did!! Ancho Tamarind, Thai Lime, and Horchata....we had them all!!! I feel so lucky to have gone on the weekend because I had the opportunity to indulge in their burnt strawberry honey and coffee dulce de leche sopapillas!!!! Home made chips and maza...whuat??? Truly an amazing experience!Came out to the new location!!! Definitely the best best veggie option around. The sweet potato taco and potato taco were amazing!“

“I love this place and the people who work there are so nice. Absolutely THE Migas I have EVER eaten! The tortilla strips inside are crunchy and flavorful. Unlike every other Migos taco I've eaten at the well-known more popular places, which I won't mention the names of, where everything is soft and soggy and indiscernible.“

“This was the 2nd time I've been, it was Friday and packed... But was able to get a table and just barely got the 1/2 priced app in! Got the combo fajitas, and the brown sauce they bring with it is devine! I like onions fully cooked and they are the only place I've found where they are caramelized and soft! The green salsa is so yummy. Ended with Tres leches and it was very tasty, and coated in milk. I definitely recommend this place! Also had Cade as our server, he was fantastic, very attentive, personable and made us laugh. Overall a great time tonight, even though a wait. Good job guys, y'all made a great impression!“

“I’ve been a regular at this Torchy’s for years, and the breakfast tacos cannot be beat. Even in this current economy, their breakfast remains affordable and the portions have remained consistent, not to mention always fresh and hot. Service was also lightning fast, and I’ve never waited more than a few minutes for my food.“

“It’s my go to supper tex mex home cooking spot and they keep my favorite beer, Bohemia, in bottles. Staff are always friendly and attentive and in 2 years I’ve rarely had a miss on food (tortillas were overcooked and burnt slightly) but one time in 2 years eating there 2-3 times a month is pretty darn good. Go and enjoy some carne guisada and you won’t be disappointed. Sure it’s homey but that’s why I go!“

“I've been in Austin for over 20 years and Kerbey Lane still remains my favorite place to go for local comfort food. The service is great - easy, not rushed, and kind people work there. They are an inclusive business and their staff seem happy at work. The food is always delicious and consistently prepared well & fast. My dog is always welcome on their patio. I love the coffee. If you're looking for authentic, casual Austin (not some overpriced "bourbon-infused chicken and waffle concept" where you need a reservation a year in advance), go to Kerbey. They know what they're doing. Also the pancakes. Lord have mercy. ?“

“Great place to eat. Friendly staff, pliable menu, and great vegan options. They have a green sauce that is mildly spicy and very delicious.I got two tacos, that quickly became four, they give you extra tortillas for when your stuffings fall out and with beans and rice it was extremely filling and worth every penny. The next time we’re in Austin we’ll come back.We got mushroom filled tacos, Nuevo León street tacos, and for a kid one pancake.Everyone cleaned their plates.Dietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian friendly with knowledgeable staff of what is in foods. The waitress even knew what was in the sauces which is so helpful when you have allergies and restrictions.Kid-friendliness: Food a kid could eat, drink cups for kids, and friendly staff towards kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps and room to move around“
“It was my first time axe throwing and I didn’t expect to have so much fun. I was always worried about my luck that the axe would bounce back at me like a boomerang, but I’m still here with all my limbs despite the bad throws. Our instructor Brittany was pretty awesome and patient with us. I had a group of 8 and more than half had never thrown an axe, but towards the end of our game, we got better. If it wasn’t for the heavy rain rolling in, we’d probably play for an additional hour bc time went by pretty fast from all the fun!“

“The staff was friendly and patient as we studied the menu. They had great draft beer choices that didn't break the bank. The hummus was a little bland but the naan was fluffy and garlicky. I had a vegetable jalapeño curry meal and the spice was right on the mark. I'd go back.“

And for his first day we wouldn’t have know if he didn’t tell us! He provided EXCEPTIONAL service very knowledgeable, friendly, pleasant and with a smile! Customer service is lacking a lot of place but not here and we’ll definitely be back! Thank you Zach and crew for a good experience!!! We didn’t eat anything but the salsa and chips were delicious!!!“

“Not as good as it once was decades ago, but still worth a visit. TCP seems to exist by the merits of its own hubris. It’s become more of a “see and be seen“ place than an actual Chili Parlor. 4 stars for hanging in as long as it has. 2 stars for the chili.“

“Consistently strong, huge tacos each and every time. I ordered the trailer park (fried chicken) and crossroads (beef brisket). Very unique and tasty. Their queso is so addicting. What sucks was trying to find parking as there is not really many free parking spaces here. Ofc, this is close to 2nd Street District which you can check out afterwards“

“We had lunch here today & it was delicious! My daughter had a vegan bowl, I had the lunch special with 2 chicken tacos & my husband had a breakfast dish. All we're very good, as we're the chips, salsa & queso. We also had margaritas with Avion tequila, that were delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone.“

“Came here for a quick lunch and decided to try their vegetarian offerings. 2 tacos for 10 bucks is decent value these days, which would've been absurd a few years back. The tacos I received were packed with veggies, although I realize I'm not a huge fan of sweet potatoes in my tacos. Both salsa were great, the creamy green one was not as spicy as I'm accustomed to for that color of salsa but still tasty. Overall, just quick solid tacos at a reasonable price for a food truck.“

“Come here for lunch pretty often food is always good. Not sure why but I swear this location has better tortillas, and tacos in general, than the one up north off 620. Maggie is usually running things when I come in shes friendly and must be doing something right given how constantly good this location is.“

“Over MANY years eating there and their previous location, I have never been disappointed. Once they even let me have a "never ending" until I had my fill platter of delicious tacos!! I recently checked to see if that was still possible, and IT IS! BTW, one had best remember that all their dishes are quite plentiful!!!I have both dined in and used takeout for both lunch and dinner.Parking: Not much of it, and there needs to be more handicapped parking near the door as well as at least one takeout space!“

“This is my second time here at Kerbey Lane Cafe, and I will tell you that this little cozy place has excellent food and excellent service! The pancakes are fluffy, melt in your mouth delicious. Even their Cobb salad is top-notch ??. I usually dislike Bleu cheese, but the blue cheese in the cobb salad was so heavenly. If you ever stop by Austin for a breakfast/brunch treat; I recommend this place.“

“Visiting from Missouri, we wanted something different. We chose to come here and we are so glad we did. Sam our server was AMAZING, the food, the food was superb, I've never tasted pancakes like how they do theirs, their eggs were sweet but hardy at the same time. I will most definitely be back when back in Austin.“

“Chicken Adoba taco is insanely good, I usually sub beef because I also love their fajita beef. As fusions go, this place nails it. The meat must be marinated in some kind of soy sauce mix, and doing so adds such an authentic and balanced fusion with the fresh grilled veggies that you truly get the best of both worlds. They don't skimp you on portions and doing so makes this place first choice before 90% of ATX Mexican-Asian fusion.“

“If you live off South Lamar I can't stress enough that Texami is the latest and greatest food truck that has shown up on the block. I tried their breakfast tacos first, and Peter (the owner) does an excellent job on toasting the tortilla and not skimping on the ingredients inside. It gets better though, I tried the steak quesadilla this afternoon and it's savory and filling. This owner is going places and I highly recommend trying out what he has to offer. Also rad that he plays the guitar out front until the customer comes up to the window.“

“Update on 4/25/2024 service was great but food wasn't as good as it used to be. The tortillas were absolutely horrible, what happened to the good white flour tortillas that were served here back in the day? I had the Pollo loco dish, the chicken was perfect but the refried beans weren't good and the tortillas were absolutely horrible, we didn't even try to eat any. I took a picture of them but can't seem to find a way to post on here. Very disappointed that this'll restaurant is lowering it's high standards that it once had.A few years ago: Margaritas are the best, food is delicious, service is great and the whole restaurant is clean. At south medows.“

“For the past 25 years, I've been a devoted fan of the Chicken Bowl for my lunchtime enjoyment. This establishment holds the distinction of being a family-owned business that consistently serves delectable food. Notably, they are willing to accommodate individual preferences by offering customized dishes. Their breakfast tacos are truly outstanding, capturing the essence of a delicious morning meal. The Chicken Bowl itself presents a delightful combination of vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage, carrots, and savory dark chicken. It is highly recommended to enhance this dish with a touch of teriyaki sauce, elevating its flavors to new heights. If you happen to be in the downtown area around Lavaca 17th St., I enthusiastically endorse trying the Chicken Bowls for a truly satisfying dining experience.Vegetarian options: You have to ask to customize a dish“

“I have catered their food plenty of times, but today my event was estimated to be rained out and the whole Chuy's team was super kind about getting my group tables in their restaurant and making space for our modified event. Also, shout out to our waiter Stephen who was very kind and quick to help us get everything we could need.“

“The food was excellent! Our party of 3 had a quesadilla plate with chicken and mushrooms and a total of 6 tacos, chips, guacamole and 2 margaritas. With tip the bill was $75. Yikes!Service was 3 stars because you stand at the counter to order and all the food and drinks were served in disposable dishes. For $75, I would have expected durable plates and glasses. The music was very loud. We were at the front of the store (as far away from the music as possible) and we had to yell to be heard. I asked the waitress to turn it down and she did. Then we had the TV news blasting over our heads.I would order food from here again but I'd get it to go.“

“My husband and I placed a pick up order for some breakfast tacos and not only were they crazy efficient (ready in 15 minutes), they were also so nice, and everything was packaged very nicely. My only complaint is that they forgot chips for our salsa and queso. Food: The bean and cheese taco was my favorite by far. I know it's simple but it's a classic for a reason and they've perfected it. The salsa was also amazing. You can tell it's fresh. Parking: Small parking lot and street parking nearby.“
