Invention Vineyards Wineries • $$
4222 S State Hwy 16, Fredericksburg

“We had an amazing tasting host and she really helped differentiate Invention from the other wineries we visited that day. Cristy is the reason we joined, I’m usually not a Riesling drinker and she talked me into trying it….I loved it and came home with two bottles.“

Kalasi Cellars Winery •
414 Goehmann Ln, Fredericksburg

“Had a wonderful visit at Kalasi Cellars. The estate is beautifully landscaped and relaxing. The gentleman that helped us was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The winemaker knows her stuff and puts out wonderful wine! We enjoyed every wine in our tasting. Flavors rivaled that of some of our favorite Healdsburg wines. We bought a few bottles and plan to visit again soon.“

Wildseed Farms Wineries • $$
100 Legacy Dr, Fredericksburg

“I’ve been here many times, over the years, and always had a good experience. I just want to give a shout out to the young man who helped me, today. Sage was very personable, KNOWLEDGEABLE, helpful, and friendly. There don’t seem to be many staff, there, right now, but he was doing an awesome job. Thank you—from the lady who bought 4 coral vines and asked if you could trim down the stakes. Sage is a definite asset to Wildseed Farms! Great job, young man!“

Grape Creek Vineyards Wineries • $$

“Rachael was amazing. She treated us like queens. When we walked in, we were asked to move down multiple times because other people were walking in. The front workers desk didn't come back to us to help us get what we wanted. Rachael noticed, pulled us to her table and recovered the experience back so we wouldn't request the stop. 10 out of 10 would go back and I'll be calling ahead to make Rachael will be there.“

Safari Winery Winery • $$

“As members of Safari, we brought our daughter and son-in-law to enjoy the wonderful wine and atmosphere.Casey (KC) was in charge of our group and she was so knowledgable, professional, friendly and fun that our guests decided to join the club as well.On the other hand, we came back the next day to celebrate our daughters 30th birthday (yes, that day was her exact birthday), and even though we were all member now, the person that served us, denied any special treatment for the birthday girl by telling us that "as members, we already had a complimentary glass of wine".We left very dissapointed by the second treatment they (she) gave us.“

Pontotoc Vineyard Weingarten Winery •
320 W Main St, Fredericksburg

“We have two teenagers and the last couple of years many of the wineries in this area only welcome 21+ only. This is crazy, we have been bringing our children to wineries since they were babies. My husband and I would always sit outside with a glass of wine; playing cards, chatting with our kids, and admiring the view.I called many of the wineries we had enjoyed in the past and they told us teenagers were not welcome anymore, and that is how I ended up calling Pontotoc Weingarten. I had never heard of them, but they said families were welcome and we decided to check them out.It was a little difficult to locate their Weingarten at first as they are tucked away between 2 larger buildings, but we had no problem finding parking right across the street. I have family from Germany and have visited the country many times, and Pontotoc reminded me of a Weingarten in a small German town. Pontotoc is right off Main St. but didn’t feel like it because of the thick rock walls surrounded the garden. There were plenty of places to sit outside and the small building and location was absolutely lovely. The owner was amazing and suggested the sangria which we tried and it was delicious! I don’t like sweet drinks, but this sangria was very subtly sweetened and had hints of orange and lemon. The wine we tried was also wonderful. This has been my favorite place to visit for wine in Fredericksburg and we will be back. I can’t wait to try their picnic basket! The best part of the experience was being able to have our teenage boys warmly welcomed. If you want a romantic place to bring your date or a relaxing outside location to sit and visit with your family, make sure you visit Pontotoc Weingarten!“

Coordinates Vineyards Winery • $$
417 E Main St, Fredericksburg

“One of my favorite finds in Texas. Was a recommendation to visit this place. Unfortunately the vineyard was closed on the day we visited but their downtown store is opened everyday. Had an amazing selection of South African wines, which being from Africa was cool to see. The store is situated in a previous blacksmith with touches of its history still in place. The wine was great! And the atmosphere intimate so was great for close conversation in our group.“

“My recent dining experience at Vineyard Bistro was nothing short of exceptional, thanks in large part to, Travis Mangum. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were greeted with the inviting scent of culinary delights and the picturesque backdrop of the vineyard. The wine selection at Grape Creek was also noteworthy. With a solid array of wines to complement the meal, we found the perfect pairing for each course. Whether you're a wine connoisseur or simply enjoy a good glass with your meal, you won't be disappointed. And let's not forget about the ambience—the vineyard in the background provided a stunning backdrop for our meal. As we dined, we were treated to the serene beauty of the vineyard, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to our day.In conclusion, if you're looking for a dining experience that combines exquisite cuisine, fine wine, and a beautiful ambience, look no further than Grape Creek.“

Foyt Winery & Museum Wineries •
38 Jenschke Ln, Fredericksburg

“We spent time during the 2024 solar eclipse at this place, and it was incredible. Excellent views, hanging areas, and bar, and the staff is what made it great. Some of the friendliest, down to earth people that we’ve ever met at a business like this. The museum had historic cars that you will never see anywhere else, that were driven by legends of racing. The golfing in the back was great touch, as well as the racing simulator, and games all around the place. The Foyt wine was top notch, and went down just a bit too smooth for our own good. Totally recommend to anyone venturing through the hill country. We will be back.“

Ferris & Fletch Wine Co. Wine Bar •
409 E Main St Suite A, Fredericksburg

“The absolute best wine room tasting experience we had while in Fredericksburg for our girl group of 6. Debby was a gem of a human being. She was warm, welcoming and educated us on the wines we were tasting….we felt like we had known her for years and we were a part of the family. This is a family run winery in which the owner/wine maker has poured his heart and soul not only in to the wine but also the build out of the facility. It is beautiful modern farmhouse with a breathtaking patio outback that still has some bells and whistles being added. The wine is from Cali and I didn’t have one that I didn’t enjoy. I am typically a red only girlie but this place had me buying their Chardonnay and white blend to bring home along with the Syrah. Top Notch experience, so much so I became a member. Low pressure relaxed environment. Do yourself a favor and pay them a visit….we did, both nights we were in town.“

Diamond Vineyards Wineries •

“We LOVED our visit at Diamond Vineyards. Lisa and Celine were so kind, hospitable, and knowledgeable. We got to go on the vineyard hike and try different tasty treats. They answered all of our questions and were so welcoming. We can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!Backstory: We were supposed to go on a group vineyard hike but called the day before to check if it was still on due to weather. Lisa offered for us to come out that day for a tour instead since the weather was nicer. It was so thoughtful of them to reschedule for us and we had a fun time being the only ones on the tour. Keep in mind when you look at these photos that the vines are going dormant. Still beautiful but not as lush as other times of the year.“

Becker Vineyards Wineries • $$

“Arrived here on a Saturday around 1pm. It was very packed, since it was graduation weekend, however we got lucky and found seating outside in the shade. We absolutely love coming to this winery, this was our fourth time here. The staff is friendly and kind, our girl Jess gave us the best tour ever. She was amazing!!!!! And knew so much and was funny and cool. We just ended up buying the wine by the bottle, which is fairly priced. They did have an event in the pavilion at 4pm for a wedding that was happening. I love coming here the wine is amazing. I love that we can bring our own snacks to make our own charcuterie board, since my friends and i are picky about our boards. I will definitely be coming back here in the cooler months!“

Narrow Path Main Street Tasting Room Winery •

“Very strong 4.5 if they allowed half points.Very nice selection of wines. The staff were super nice and knowledgeable. Dakota was extremely into wines and really able to educate us on the various different selections. He knew his wines. Overall very nice place. One has to get used to Texas tasting where they pour right into the same glass for the different wine tastings. The tasting was a bit overpriced at $15 for 5 wines but the education one received and explanation of the wines was very good. Still should have been a bit less like $10.We purchased some wines. They were very nice and were on par or better than any other European or Californian wines.“

Inwood Estates Vineyards Winery & Bistro Wineries • $$
10303 US-290, Fredericksburg

“Inwood is our favorite vineyard in the Texas wine country. The service is friendly and the wines are a cut above. If you’re looking for a big, bold red made in the old world style, this is your spot. The food is cafe style with more charcuterie and light snacks than full meals. The ambiance is quaint with both a lovely patio and an indoor bistro/tasting room. The first time we went, we stopped in for a quick glass and left with a wine membership and several bottles in tow. We’ve brought friends in since for both large and intimate gatherings, and Inwood is alway a hit. Highly recommend!Note: they specialize in reds. There are no white wines, and there is typically one rosé on hand (their Heavy Petal wine).“

Longhorn Cellars Winery • $$
315 Farm to Market 1376, Fredericksburg

“I'm visiting from NC and my friends took me to Fredericksburg for lunch and do some wine tastings! I love wine and I drive for a wine tour company. So on vacation, it's my turn to do some tastings.I wanted to stop here as I saw the Longhorn statue standing out in front. The winery is beautiful. I loved the atmosphere of the tasting room. We were welcomed as we walked it. I was hoping to do a tasting but the wines were not what I would drink, which is fine, and also I really didn't want to pay the $30 for the tasting that I most likely wouldn't enjoy.I gave them 5 stars because of the outside view of the winery, the atmosphere in the tasting room and the friendliness of the staff! I'm not going to dock them a star because of my preference for wine. To each their own!“
