“Lobster bisque was best ever! Baked oysters not my style but shrimp dish was great! Pricey but nice and small and I would take someone there who wants seafood and a good cocktail.”
“We had an amazing tasting host and she really helped differentiate Invention from the other wineries we visited that day. Cristy is the reason we joined, I’m usually not a Riesling drinker and she talked me into trying it….I loved it and came home with two bottles.”
“Food is great here! Everything we ordered was so tasty and fresh. Very pleasant atmosphere and homey vibe. Professional servers. This is a must visit restaurant. We will definitely come back ✨ arrive hungry!”

The ambiance was inviting, with cozy lighting and tasteful decor. Seriously treated like VIPS. They went above and beyond!! The food and sparkling wine menu offered a delightful array of dishes and bubbles, each bursting with flavor and expertly crafted. The owner was so knowledgeable and attentive, enhancing our wine journey.”
“My recent dining experience at Vineyard Bistro was nothing short of exceptional, thanks in large part to, Travis Mangum. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were greeted with the inviting scent of culinary delights and the picturesque backdrop of the vineyard. The wine selection at Grape Creek was also noteworthy. With a solid array of wines to complement the meal, we found the perfect pairing for each course. Whether you're a wine connoisseur or simply enjoy a good glass with your meal, you won't be disappointed. And let's not forget about the ambience—the vineyard in the background provided a stunning backdrop for our meal. As we dined, we were treated to the serene beauty of the vineyard, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to our day.In conclusion, if you're looking for a dining experience that combines exquisite cuisine, fine wine, and a beautiful ambience, look no further than Grape Creek.”

“You can only get one size pizza here, just be warned. So we got 2 calzones instead. It’s not my favorite thing, but friend said best he’s had in a while. We had the salad with grapes which was amazing. Friendly staff, but only seating for around 8-10 people, so more a place to grab pizza and go.”
“Omgoodness! Iykyk! This place is $$$. Greasy, juicy burgers in a paper wrapper, fries in a brown paper bag and both are as COUNTRY as you can get!! This is the place for a great burger, cold beer, hot fries and awesome music ❤️ Not even sorry about the pics of half eaten burgers, that’s how good they were! Don’t sleep on the Habanero mango sauce…..amazing”
“Really good Neapolitan style pizza. These 12inch pizzas are elevated with ingredients and bake. If you like medium to thinner crust and well done under side the pizza is great. The pepperoni and cheese are great classic choices just be aware the pepperoni is highly greasy. Enjoy!”
“Some of the best Thai food I've eaten. We called in an order and took the food back to our Airbnb. The owner and staff were so friendly and made sure everything was just right. Food was full of flavor and portions are a good size. Definitely would return!”
“Nice place quick and friendly service. The Gochichan Ribs were unique and tasty and so was the Asian cucumbers. So many choices in this town, and this was a good one.”
“We spent time during the 2024 solar eclipse at this place, and it was incredible. Excellent views, hanging areas, and bar, and the staff is what made it great. Some of the friendliest, down to earth people that we’ve ever met at a business like this. The museum had historic cars that you will never see anywhere else, that were driven by legends of racing. The golfing in the back was great touch, as well as the racing simulator, and games all around the place. The Foyt wine was top notch, and went down just a bit too smooth for our own good. Totally recommend to anyone venturing through the hill country. We will be back.”
“Birth place of Admiral Nimitz. Great historical tour. Fantastic wine. Didn't order food, next time. Hospitable, personable host. A must for wine lovers. Incredibly enjoyable experience!!!”
“Amazing experience. When you walk into the second level which is the main entry you are greeted by a beautiful chandelier tree. We ate at the bistro and had the duck ... words can not describe how amazing our dinner was. The decor of the restaurant and store are exquisite ... simply beautiful. The staff are very conscientious of their patrons to ensure you have amazing experience.”
“Food is incredible and the service is excellent. We asked our server, Sean for recommendations and he didn’t miss! The crab appetizer is delicious, and the little shot glass of soup when you sit down is quite possibly the best soup I’ve ever had. Start to finish, everything we ate was excellent.”

“Our visit to Becker was something very special. Bobby rolled out the red carpet and gave our group of four the ultimate VIP experience. His tour was memorable, we absolutely won't forget our time there! Our tour included about 10 tastings, barrel samples, reserves, the private cellar, charcuterie and Bobby's vast knowledge of the history and operation of Becker. He is such an asset to Becker. If you are traveling out to Fredericksburg, you have a ton of choices in vineyards. Make sure Becker is part of your plans. You will absolutely love it!”
“One of our first stops when visiting Fredericksburg is always Salvation Spirits. Of all the family and friends I have taken here, they all say it's their favorite place by far. The atmosphere is unmatched. One of the most laid back and relaxing places in town. Tyler is amazing and is always such a gracious host. If you have questions about any of the drinks he will give you a great description of what to expect and is always helpful on giving suggestions. He's never been wrong. I can't recommend The Speakeasy at Salvation Spirits highly enough. A must stop when visiting Fredericksburg!!!! A+++++”
“We LOVED our visit at Diamond Vineyards. Lisa and Celine were so kind, hospitable, and knowledgeable. We got to go on the vineyard hike and try different tasty treats. They answered all of our questions and were so welcoming. We can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!Backstory: We were supposed to go on a group vineyard hike but called the day before to check if it was still on due to weather. Lisa offered for us to come out that day for a tour instead since the weather was nicer. It was so thoughtful of them to reschedule for us and we had a fun time being the only ones on the tour. Keep in mind when you look at these photos that the vines are going dormant. Still beautiful but not as lush as other times of the year.”
“We had the best tasting today!! Alex was very knowledgeable and personable. We felt like we were the only ones in the showroom! Our hour flew by and we look forward to coming back for more next time we visit Texas wine country!”
“Today my husband and I celebrated our 24th anniversary by driving to Fredericksburg Tx. to get peaches and having a celebratory lunch before heading back to San Antonio. After obtaining our peaches we ventured into town and made the decision to dine at Alla Campagna. We were greeted with the friendliest smile by a charming young woman named Jennifer. Turns out she was our waitress as well. I ordered the compunti pasta dish which was absolutely delicious. It had grilled chicken which was delicious and juicy, pasta tossed in a pesto sauce which was creamy and equally tasty. The sauce literally danced on my tongue with every bite. My husband ordered the Carne pizza which was amazing! The crust was crispy on the outside yet chewy on the inside. He is usually a quiet person but he continually commented on the pizza throughout the meal. The restaurants atmosphere was charming with a marriage of antique and modern. Very inviting!! I also couldn’t help but notice how clean the restaurant was. The next time we go we plan to stay overnight as we learned the proprietor also has a B&B! Because we had to drive home we chose not to indulge in the Spirits, next time we will! Thank you for making this Anniversary a memorable one!!”
“This is the big dog for wine making. If you want those heavy big bold reds. Then look no further. Cause this is it.Very low harvest rates for their wine making. So you’re going to get very rich red wines.”
“Very kind and welcoming! Also, we like sweet wines and the server asked at first if we liked sweet wines and offered a taste of the sweet so we could decide which one we liked. The tasting room is very nice and homey with couches or chairs”
“Always a great date @ Grape Creek. If you are dining here, ask for Candace. ?”
“This establishment offers the highest quality cuisine in town, predominantly American with a touch of Spanish and Asian influence. A visit to Fredericksburg would be incomplete without experiencing this culinary gem. The ambiance is delightful, and the food quality surpasses anything else available in Fredericksburg, Texas.”
“Great atmosphere beer and food! They have multiple options for seating which is awesome and the service was mostly perfect. The food and was delicious. Would recommend!”
“The food was delicious, the wait staff was friendly, attentive, and prompt. What was great was even though there was a line to get in, my friends and I only waited 3 or 4 minutes to get a table.”
“This heavy metal rock bar is a total gem! The drinks are absolutely wonderful, and the bartender is just awesome. It's a hidden spot that's worth discovering for anyone looking for a laid-back hangout with great vibes. I found it by accident while walking the streets with my girlfriends the first day of our visit in town. We came back the rest of our trip every night! The drinks were absolutely delicious! and I cant stop raving about the atmosphere. I'm definitely coming back the next time I'm in town!”

“Waited 45 for a table and our food came out super fast. It was ok. The drinks and bacon jam flatbread were great. But our entrees were not worth the price and line wait. We got the daily pasta special, chicken marsala and shrimp n grits. I may go back for another drink but that would be it.”
Takeout Restaurants
“The Club Sandwich is fabulous: Lots of shaved turkey and ham; plenty of crisp bacon. But CAUTION: if you want the terrific salad as your side, ask for it to be on a separate plate. By the time mine was carried from the kitchen to our table, the delicious salad dressing had slopped out and soaked the sandwich.”
“We got drinks while we waited on our table. The Irish coffee and Maui were great! The food was*chef's kiss* and our server Alicia was amazing. Try the Santa Fe omelette, you won't regret it.”
“This is a MUST stop for anyone heading to Fredricksburg. These pies are so good your going to want to try one of everything. My favorite which I've had multiple times is the Buttermilk pie. It's like a mix between a custard and cream brûlée in a homemade crust. Whatever your choice of pie, you will Or be disappointed. Very friendly and they do have other items for sale.”
“Delicious slices of housemade pie in a cute old house with seating on the front porch. Check their website before going, as the friendly husband and wife team that runs the place sometimes takes a few days off. Coconut cream, buttermilk, pecan and peach pies are all outstanding. All slices are even better with a cup of their house blend coffee. For a slightly better value, locals pick up a whole or half pie to go (and yes, you can make a whole pie out of two different halves). We watched one lady load up a whole baby stroller with pie. Get there early for the best selection.”
“dawn did amazing!! i drove to her from fort worth for a cake for my friends birthday. she created exactly what i envisioned! i did make a mistake though, which was all my fault, and the frosting fell apart. (thanks texas heat!) i contacted her and she immediately made time for me to bring the cake back and fixed it! a wonderful woman with outstanding service! the cake was very yummy too :)”
“Great diner food. Friendly efficient staff, even when crowded. We liked our breakfasts, which came with generous quantity. I would not consider the food particularly German though.I got some take out. Alert pastries which were tasty also.Conveniently located on the Main Street.I recommend this restauraunt.”

“This was my first time here and was not disappointed. The food along with the pretzel appetizer were amazing. The wait was not long at all but if you have a big group then make reservations. The service was great. You will be in awe with water well that is in the restaurant with a see through glass looking down. I will definitely come back again.”
“A cozy little coffee house with great coffee, a yummy breakfast burrito (the bacon egg and cheese burrito was big enough to share) and excellent customer service. I’ll definitely be back!”
“While visiting Fredericksburg, we had our fill of German food and looked for a good Mexican spot.We found it! Everything we had...the Trio Dip, and the taco plate was great!”
“Got the Golden Milk Latte and every sip was like a cozy hug. The homemade nut milk is the best I’ve ever had! My husband got the Ceremonial Cacao Latte and I liked his as much as mine.Wish we lived in town just for this place!Dietary restrictions: I’m df and their homemade nut milk is the best!Parking: The parking behind the store made it easy to pop in.”
“This is the best ice cream I have ever had! The only reason it's not 5 stars is because I felt my sundae was more whip cream than ice cream and the fudge made the ice cream melt super fast. My boyfriend got the banana split and it looked a lot better for a slightly higher price. If I go back, I would get that.”
“The best wine maker in Fredericksburg. Rarig is an authentic wine maker. Loves his craft and is encapsulated a brand in his bottles. The wine is amazing. Grapes and varietals you won’t find any where. And then hits it with the classics. His Chardonnay, Cabs and big grapes slap. The back green space with pergolas and fire pits and seating are beautiful. They have taken this experience to the next level.Make sure you are a member of their wine club. The best treat every season.”
“This place is delicious! We got in line about 15 minutes before they opened, so we got right in for dinner. We had our food within 15 minutes of sitting down, and were in and out in a total of 40 minutes! Very impressive. My husband got the lasagna and I got the #4. They were both delicious. Servers were attentive and kind. Definitely recommend!”
“Glenn Alise is awesome at Fiesta winery! She helped me with a gift card situation & we had a great tasting experience. They have a few locations, I enjoyed the 290 location, cute spot, casually fun, not pretentious. Make it a stop on your visit!”
“Just had a wonderful dinner here with my husband! Loved that it was BYOB, and was very impressed with the generous serving sizes. I did not think to take a picture until the end, but this was the dessert plate for two. Wonderful time and great food!”
“Abigail was an excellent and knowledgeable sommelier. She has a beautiful personality. I enjoyed her so much my husband and I came back a second day. We'll be back.”

“There was a young girl waiting on us she was so sweet. Her name started K she has blonde hair. I can't say enough nice things about her. People need to behave like she did. Very cheerful.”
“The service was really fast! The tots were the bomb! The burgers were good. They either need to change the filter or clean the nozzles on the soda dispenser cuz the sprite my lady ordered tasted like a mildewy washcloth? but the slushies were good. They changed her drink to a slush no problem, kid was really nice about it. Everything else was great!”
“Me and my friends stopped here on our trip, we walked in to a super friendly atmosphere, the employees were so fast and helpful- and didn’t seem forced. Way better then the one in our town!”
“I was there Saturday and I ordered original chicken sandwich and mozzarella it was horrible. I called the next day and spoke to Candy she was awesome and I just want to say thank you so much for making it right and redoing my order the next day I really appreciate it you’re awesome”

Cheap Eats
“We ate at Leroy’s this afternoon to reconfirm what we thought first time we ate here. I’m reporting in to say that yep, it was just as good this time as our first time! We both had a taco first time: L had brisket taco and I had a pulled pork taco. Yum yum. Beans were also very good. And a peach cobbler for dessert. Delicious. Today we each had an order of street tacos. Also came with beans and a grilled pepper on the side. Another yum yum. And once again, peach cobbler…this time with ice cream. Very nice staff that checked on us several times. You can count on us, Leroy’s, as becoming regular customers!!!”
“In the heart of Fredericksburg, Texas, lies a coffee shop that sets the bar high for java enthusiasts. The coffee? Simply the best in town. The baristas? Unmatched in their skill and passion. Each cup is a masterpiece, brewed with precision and care, while the baristas' expertise and warmth elevate the experience to a whole new level. If you're craving top-notch coffee and a welcoming atmosphere, this place is a must-visit.Dietary restrictions: They have dairy free milk options!”
“Good lunch place on the main drag of town to stop in and grab a good meal at fair prices and good portions. Fast service and kind staff. My grilled shrimp Mediterranean salad was very well seasoned and fresh. My wife loved her plate as well. I got a very nice cab with my meal also so check their wine list as well. Cool interior design with a chill vibe to it. Will be back again for sure.”
“Tastiest fresh pretzels are served with cheese sauce or mustard, your choice. Both Bakers-Owners Always have a cheery smile & happy voice.. Their Apple Strudel is even better reheated at home, that fresh-from-the-oven scent & taste are incredibly memorable. MY brother tried the Lemon Cookies, he said they are hands down, the best lemony flavor ever!”
“This place seems like it's in the middle of nowhere where but what a treat it was to come here. It's really only a few minutes outside of Fredericksburg. The ambience was awesome and the food was fantastic. The bonus is the small motorcycle museum they have on the side.”

“Great little spot for a quick burger on our way through Fredericksburg home. The Tejano burgers were absolutely delicious. No premade patties here! And the fries were the perfect compliment. The live music was gearing up to start, but we were needing to get back on the road. Plenty of seating. Nice and CLEAN restrooms. Easy parking in the back.”

“We were in Fredericksburg fir the wknd and wanted to have a drink at a place that's "off the beaten path"... This place was walking distance from our hotel and had a good reviews so we decided to check it out! Definitely a dive bar that's well known and visited by locals. This is not a touristy stop by any means and I am oh so appreciative it is not! Pools tables available. Drinks are served cold and the bartenders are amazing! It is smokey, so smoking may be permitted (not sure). Nothing fancy, a total dive, and just a great place to have a cold drink and watch the game or meet some locals. If you want a place that's low key, away from all the tourists places, with good drinks this is the place to visit.”
“This is a nice out of the way place. I went on a Sunday, a day before the eclipse. The place was not too busy. You get put on a waiting list and can just grab whatever you want to drink out of the cooler. I would come back again if ever in the area.”

“Hye cider is hands down the best cider in Texas. You honestly can’t get better. It’s not overly sweet like most ciders and offers a variety of ABVs for every taste. Don’t pass them up at HEB or go in for a tasting and ask to speak to the head cider maker Nate, he’s always willing to talk shop (if he’s not busy!) and is very knowledgeable about Texas booze in general!”
“Jenny & Doug are the most welcoming & amazing hosts! We were hoping for an authentic Texas experience and Full Moon delivered. Comfy beds, yummy breakfast, great conversations, beautiful grounds. Just down the road from Luckenbach where we took in some live music. We’re already planning our next trip back to Full Moon Inn.”

“We really enjoyed our dinner at Rathskeller. I had the blackened Mahi Mahi and it was delicious. My husband said the Heavenly Tilapia was the best he’s ever had. The rice pilaf wasn’t bad, but it was more of a Spanish rice IMO. I enjoyed the cheddar mashed potatoes, but my husband was not impressed with them. Over all, our dinner was wonderful and the service was great. We’d go back again!”

“Bucs is the local bar that has it all; sports, pool, karaoke, food and awesome bartenders. My favorite by far is Jasmine. She’s speedy, no waiting for your drinks, always remembers our drinks and never lets the crowds or the pace affect her smile or sense of humor. We won’t even get started on the flaming shots. She is just the best.”

We were there for lunch at 12:30 pm. We highly recommend this place for some great German food. This is the 3rd time I have been there and the food is always great. 10/13/2022”
“Hands down one of the best stake house in Texas. It is one of the main reason we go to Fredericksburg frequently. Perfect stake, great sides, good ambiance and service.”
“I sell this place to anyone and everyone that mentions to me they are visiting Fredericksburg soon. While their menu is seasonal, you are sure to enjoy the variety of well prepared, flavorful dishes. Personally, I visited a couple years ago and just realized I had not posted a review. At the time, Chase had coffee coated lamb lollipops with a smear of whipped sweet potatoes. The appetizer was so delicious, we ended up ordering 3 of them and just had that as our dinner. I look forward to my next trip to town and have a culinary adventure exploring What Chase may have to offer.”
“We got drinks while we waited on our table. The Irish coffee and Maui were great! The food was*chef's kiss* and our server Alicia was amazing. Try the Santa Fe omelette, you won't regret it.”
“Great diner food. Friendly efficient staff, even when crowded. We liked our breakfasts, which came with generous quantity. I would not consider the food particularly German though.I got some take out. Alert pastries which were tasty also.Conveniently located on the Main Street.I recommend this restauraunt.”
“The food was amazing, probably the best Tamale I've ever had. And I'm from Denver and we have amazing Mexican food! Everything we got was really good.”
“Soooo good! Loved making a custom pizza with such a variety of choices for ingredients. The pizza was really awesome plus the fact you can get an alcoholic beverage to top it off!”
“I had the Papa Bear breakfast with biscuits and gravy with a shirt stack. We went early so there wasn't a wait or lack of service. The biscuits were light and fluffy. The gravy wasn't too thick. The pancakes were delicious. The only complaint was the coffee could have been stronger. We will be back.”
“Good place to go for a drink, but the food not so much. Texas fried steak tough as shoe leather….all breading and cheese potatoes…..cold ?”
“The food was delicious, the wait staff was friendly, attentive, and prompt. What was great was even though there was a line to get in, my friends and I only waited 3 or 4 minutes to get a table.”
“We went here twice in one day, that's how great this place is! We went for drinks and apps the first time, then a second time for dinner since my husband INSISTED that he needed another Hill Country Mule. The food was tasty, but the drinks were phenomenal!”

“Love that we found this casual spot while in Fredericksburg that was dog friendly. We tried both of their house brews, which were very good. The ranch dressing that came with my salad was also made in house. Will definitely return next time we are in town.”
“Ashely was so amazing!!! She made our first wine tasting experience one to remember! She was extremely informative and gave great recommendations for us first-timers and even gave us a complimentary glass for becoming members!!! Will be back VERY soon!”
