Very good food friendly folks, I wish I caught a chance to eat some cobbler today. Oh well, hopefully tomorrow. Definitely the best chicken fried steak that I had yet. Saving room for boththe chicken fried steak and peach cobbler.

We decided we were going to eat local while in town. We popped into this place for breakfast. We were immediately welcomed. You could tell this place was the place where all the locals went as you saw a bunch of regulars shuffle in. I did not want to over do it, so I ordered one blueberry pancake and some sausage. The blueberries were large and bursting with flavor. They did have sugar free syrup as I do not like to eat that much sugar for breakfast. The sausage was small patties, but had a good flavor. I really enjoyed this little spot. The food and service were top notch.

Great real hill country feel! None of that big city attitudes! Service was quick & precise! The food was amazing! Special mentions to the hash browns that are crispy! Not hasBurnt, or hashRaw!I had an off the menu, meats omelette, upgraded to bowl grits, 2 biscuits add gravy!Cost was cheaper than the same thing at Denny's!Parking was a little odd because the back is per business.

During our journey through Kerrville, Texas, we stumbled upon the charming Hill Country Cafe, a delightful small diner off the main road. The biscuits and gravy were a standout, boasting a delicious homemade flavor. Our experience was made even more enjoyable by the attentive server, a short blonde-haired woman with glasses. She not only guided us through the menu but also shared the day's specials with a warm and friendly demeanor. The diner exuded an old-town, homey grandma vibe, and this nostalgic atmosphere was mirrored in the comforting and tasty food offerings. A recommended stop for those seeking a welcoming and satisfying dining experience.

Small, country diner type place. Good stuff. Good, friendly service. I'd say about 20'ish tables.Parking: I was lucky enough to find a spot out front. I think there's a public parking lot directly across the street.
