“Time for an updated review. This place has undergone a major revamping. The staff is courteous, fast and personable. The place has a nice ambiance, it's own wifi password and is a nice respite from the day to day. They open early and have good food and drinks. Right now it's pumpkin spice everything- so there's that which is nice. If you use your Starcard you get an extra 10% off.“

“Originally their hours opened at 0600 but in the past week, they now open at 0700. Located in in the new WHASC building (Bldg 4554). They are closed on holidays, most Family days, and weekends. Busiest times are at 0830, between 11-1230, and around 1400. They have readers for phone apps, and the ladies there provide excellent wait and customer service and deliver it quickly. No mistakes yet and I've been going to Starbucks at work for almost four years. :)“

“ELISE CUISINE is the manifestation of owner Rocio’s ten-year dream, and her dedication and commitment to her dream is evident down to the smallest details. The dining space is simple, but quite lovely, and the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. Service was excellent and perfectly balanced in attentiveness. With hours of 7 AM to 4 PM, this is a breakfast and lunch place, with a varied and adventurous menu that caters to meat-eaters, vegetarians, vegans, and diners in need of gluten-free alternatives. On my first visit, I had the excellent spicy fried chicken sandwich, with sides of home fries and a wonderful arugula salad with cherry tomatoes, quinoa, and a balsamic vinaigrette perfectly blended between sweet and acidic. I look forward to returning again and sampling the extensive breakfast menu. Plenty of beverages are available, and there is a stately espresso machine that speaks to a restaurant that means business when it comes to coffee. This area of Potranco has been in dire need of a sit-down coffee house alternative to Starbucks, and ELISE CUISINE is it. I’ll admit that I was initially a bit cowed by the menu prices, but the portions are very generous; I left with half my meal unfinished, so I was really getting two meals for the price of one, and in truth, virtually all the dine-in, non-fast food alternatives in the area are similarly priced, with nowhere near the ambience and elegance. I plan to be a regular at ELISE CUISINE from here on out.“

“Olla Express is a hidden utopia in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city. This is my favorite place in all of Texas. The atmosphere is beautiful and mellow, warm and welcoming. The drinks are a wonderful take on Mexican classics. My favorite is the Olla Socorro. It is a blend of strong coffee, spices, and rich Mexican chocolate. It is decadent and warms your soul. The owner Andrea, has created a place that makes you want to come back everyday. Her and her staff are great and make you feel genuinely welcomed. She also has a wonderful playlist going in the background. Give Olla Express a chance. You will not regret it.“

“I've been here dozens of times and it's always top notch. The space is open and friendly, bright and cozy. Love the mismatched sofas and chairs and high industrial ceilings. It's great for meetings, working by yourself, or catching up with friends. The drinks are always delicious and high quality crafted by skilled and friendly baristas. The banana bread is reaaaallly good, especially if you ask for it to be warmed. You can also pick up some vegan breakfast tacos from La Plantaqueria on certain days while they last!“

“I am a big craft beer fanatic and a bit of a snob. I make it a point to visit as many craft breweries everywhere I go. I've been to breweries in Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, Alabama, Florida, and Maryland. This is definitely a solid brewery. Nice beer selection, excellent service and friendly people. My only complaint was that they don't offer beer flights! This is the only craft brewery with this many beers to choose from that I've been to that doesn't offer flights. If I were a local, I would certainly make this place a regular to visit.“
