“Savor was our anniversary dinner choice and it far exceeded our expectations. Four delectable courses served, cooked, baked, presented, and supervised by every aspect of the culinary institute. These students are trained and expected to work every aspect of the restaurant experience, from your initial welcome at the door to serving your table and cooking each meal. They are trained and supervised by multiple mentors who are on site. Additionally, each and every person working carried them self with kindness and poise. A big shoutout to our server Shyanne. She's truly found comfort in working with the public and made our experience even more special.“

“The Rustic is a unique restaurant, bar, and music venue combined in a rustic atmosphere. The bar service is quick and your drinks never go empty. The food service can be slow at peak times, but the food is delicious. The brisket tacos for two were very good.“

“Gavin was our server. He was excellent and exceptional at his job. He was always ready to help us, filling our drinks at the perfect time, his attitude and demeanor was so gracious and exactly how a waiter should be. He was a 20 out of 10 waiter! I’d come back just for his service. The food was amazing as well! I got the rib eye with couscous, hubby got the ribs with the Mac and cheese and tequila beans (which Gavin recommended) and OMG!! The food had such a home feel to it!! So comforting and flavorful… Gavin brought my husband a piece of carrot cake for his bday….. and when Gavin said it’s the best carrot cake in San Antonio, he wasn’t lying!! It was amazing! I’d come back again and again to be served by Gavin. The ambiance was so nice and clean and romantic! Best experience I’ve had in a very long time!“

“I don't know where my friend found this place, but I am so glad she did! I am even hungry again as I write this. Four of us went on a girls trip to San Antonio to visit the Riverwalk. She had told us that she always likes to visit one fancy restaurant during every trip she takes, and she chose Bliss for this one. We all decided to walk from our hotel to here, which was about a mile each way. You wouldn't know there was a fine dining place such as Bliss based on where it was. It was hidden, and kind of around some sketchy areas. We eventually saw a basic sign on the corner that indicated this next lot was for Bliss parking. We still questioned us being in the right location despite maps saying you're coming right for it. Even the name was basically hidden and indicated very small on one of their glass windows. The business is fairly small, so make sure to snag a reservation. We noticed an older clientele here, at least for the majority. Two of us ordered iced teas and another friend ordered wine, and another one ordered a cider. Our server, Mary was outstanding. We have never had someone so good in quite some time. She even figured out that one of our group members was dairy free and took extra care of her, explaining each side and toppings and what not was going on any dish she ordered and asked if it would work or if she would like to substitute sides. We started with the corn fritters appetizer which came with chili butter, some cream and some cheese. It was delicious! I wanted more as there was enough for one of us to have a piece each, but we had more food to come. Three of us ordered the duck foie gras. I never had foie gras! It came with a strawberry salad side and some sauce to smear the duck in. It was SO GOOD! We all polished off our plates. Our other friend was going to go with the red snapper but it included risotto which had some kind of dairy involved. She ended up going with the scallops and replaced her sides with the spinach and asparagus options Mary gave her. She absolutely loved her dish as well. If that wasn't enough enjoyment, they brought out dessert menus. We all wanted something different. Mary immediately told my friend that their dairy free option was a choice of a berry sorbet (I forgot the details), and orange sorbet, and an avocado lime ice cream. Then she offered to have her try all three. She was set. One of my friends went with the chocolate bar dessert, another friend went with the butter cake, and I went with the lavender goat cheesecake. If you know me well, I am a huge fan of lavender and goat cheese and they just combined the two. The bite of butter cake I tried was amazing! It was hard not to get that. We all polished off our desserts. Everything tasted amazing here, and I wish it was not so far away from me. I'll be dreaming of it forever. Also again, Mary was an amazing server, one of the best I have had.“

“We started out with oysters as an appetizer, and our main meals were the Wagyu and the venison plate. Our after meal drink was a rum coffee. Our waiter was absolutely amazing!!! every person that came to our table was so professional, polite, and especially attentive. The answered all of our questions. The restaurant was quiet enough so we could have a conversation.“

“This is a beautiful fine dining restaurant with excellent service. The food is good. I enjoyed the Brussels sprouts, hummus, and in house made, flat bread. The salad with salmon was very good as well, and the crab cake. The crab cake is delicious, but the order comes with one cake only.“

“Wow! This place is amazing. The menu is limited but changes frequently. The food is haute cuisine with a Texas flair. The cocktails are well done and paired well to the food. I was really entertained when the domesticated turkey would walk up and gobble at the fence. I have to eat Gluten Free and they were VERY accommodating with regard to making my meal safe for me. As Arnold Schwarzenegger once stated, "I'll be back."“

“I love coming to Box St. Social for a girls brunch! I highly suggest making a reservation at least a few days to a week in advance, as they tend to get booked and busy very quickly! I've met my friend here a few times during the week for brunch and to work remotely. Our favorite things to order are the hearts of palm ceviche to share, the chilaquiles plate which is so tasty and the Box Street Brekky which is a twist on the classic American breakfast with eggs, bacon, brussel spouts, has browns and toast! They also have the cutest cocktails and mock tails to enjoy with your brunch, and the staff is always so kind! This location is centered right in the heart of Hemisfair, which is absolutely beautiful!“

“Cool place ? We didn't have to wait long to be seated, even as a party of 7 on a busy Saturday night. The food was really good too! The poke nachos were original and so fiery and crisp. The lavender drop martini was yummy because it wasn't too sweet. Nice place for a delicious, fun dinner! You should go ?“

“We came here for lunch on May 11th and it was our first time here. We got our food very fast and it was really good. The tacos and nachos were presented very well. Not just slapped together like other taco restaurants. The outdoor area was very nice to eat and hangout and had some very nice views. We will return to this location and try everything else on the menu.“

“Food was phenomenal!! Please be sure to check your receipts if you're paying with a gift card, or multiple cards as in our case. We handed our waitress two gift cards and asked her to process what was on the cards and use our credit card for the difference. Long story short, both cards were not used and the credit card was charged more as a result. The manager was very kind and understanding and made it right by reversing the transaction and started from the beginning.“

“I won the Mother's Day Instagram giveaway, it was a beautiful table for six with a special menu for brunch. The food was delicious, hot fresh and definitely an experience! Customer service was superb, the most beautiful flowers were arranged and we were waited on as if we were special guests despite the restaurant being absolutely packed. It was our first time trying the restaurant out, but definitely not our last and we have not stopped raving about it to friends and family. I would highly recommend trying everything on the menu at least once, it is all made with love ?We had an eggs benedict served on top of an English muffin. This came with a side of housemaid Verde sauce on top of a bed of brisket hash that was absolutely delectable when all put together. We also had a German pancake that came from an old family recipe, forgive me I cannot pronounce the name but it is to die for.“

“I am a big craft beer fanatic and a bit of a snob. I make it a point to visit as many craft breweries everywhere I go. I've been to breweries in Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, Alabama, Florida, and Maryland. This is definitely a solid brewery. Nice beer selection, excellent service and friendly people. My only complaint was that they don't offer beer flights! This is the only craft brewery with this many beers to choose from that I've been to that doesn't offer flights. If I were a local, I would certainly make this place a regular to visit.“

“The roasted poblano soup is quite possibly one of the best things I’ve ever had. So much flavor, a hint of poblano spice without it melting your face off. Pair it with the Vermont salad and you’ll be on cloud 9.Cheryl, the owner, is also so wonderful. She came over to great us, introduced herself, and clearly runs a phenomenal restaurant. “Loved the venue and the food was great. Our server seemed to be preoccupied with one couple in our area at the neglect of everyone else. He was nice but we didn't get our “ wine with dinner” until we were halfway done. Would definitely go again but felt the service could have been much better.“

“A nice alternative to all the chain options near the SA airport. Considering it is in a strip mall area it does a nice job utilizing the outside space for tables. Food portions were great for the price. Two meals and two extra sides cost me $33. Everything seems fresh and was tasty. Everyone front staff at register, food runners, to those tidying tables were nice and helpful.Bonus: we wanted to hang and chat well after we finished eating and had no trouble doing so.“

“Went for breakfast on a whim with my wife and chose Magnolia Pancake House. Best coffee we've had since the Hawaiian coffee at Dukes in Waikiki. Chose the Magnolia house breakfast with pecan pancakes. This was our second visit and must say it was definitely worth the morning drive. Totally recommend any of their locations. We have been to the one on 1604 and this last visit was at the Huebner location.“

“This was our last nights dinner in San Antonio and it was the best. We were seated right away, and our waiter Mark was there promptly. We ordered drinks and my wife's drink wasn't quite right. She usually doesn't say anything and just drinks it. When Mark was on his way past (He had a large group in a private room as well) He stopped and said that drink is not right let me have them fix it. That is the mark of an outstanding waiter. The rest of the meal was delicious as was the bread pudding we split for desert. It was raining and chilly so the Hostess got a van to come down and take us back to the JW. This was our best dining experience of the week. We will be back and highly recommend this restaurant. Ask for Mark. He has been there for 13 years and knows customer service.“

“We have been coming Southerleigh for a few years now. Our last review was 3 years ago so decided to write a more recent one. Recently, we had moved in the area, so we frequent the restaurants here more often. Our last visit was Thursday night in which we stopped in for a nightcap. They were pretty busy . The one thing I like is that they recently added a full bar. Thursday night in particular, Janie and Kelly, as well as David were behind the bar. We've been served by Janie and Kelly before so we're pretty familiar with them. Anyway, just wanted to give a shout out as we did arrive when it was pretty busy. They took excellent care of us. “The food was delicious (highly recommend the Toluca Poutine!) but the service is what made this place really shine. “Food review only. Chicken katsu sliders 8/10 Good. Chicken was cooked perfect, the breading was so crispy and great. I liked the slaw, didn't taste the sauce, and I liked the pickles too. The sandwich as a whole was a tad dry. I do wish there was either more slaw or more sauce to balance it out a little better. Tater Tots 10/10 Perfectly crispy! Hot honey pepperoni flatbread 9/10 Pretty good. It's kinda like a frozen pizza general flavor. And then you can definitely taste the sweetness from the honey and you get a mild spiciness at the end.“

“Our waitress was amazing! I didn't catch her name but she was wearing a bandana that night and she went along with the craziness of our table. The food was fantastic I enjoyed my meatloaf, my family loved their food the pizza was too hot to eat right away but it was amazing when it was consumed later. The atmosphere was perfect for our night out. Adult beverages were really good, not a great beer selection that night but they make up for it with other drinks.“

“Went for lunch with a friend yesterday. It was my first time and ordered something familiar- J*** Chicken. The meal came with rice, stewed cabbage, and fried plantains. Worth the price.The chicken was flavorful and the meat easily fell of the bone. The fried platains provided a sweet contrast. The rice and cabbage had their own flavors and were seasoned well. You can experience the flavors of individual component, but you can always tell the star of show- the J*** Chicken.“
