“Went camping w my gf wh hates camping....needless to say it wasnt enjoyable. couldnt wait to get back to civilization and eat a hearty meal. We drove pass the resteraunt w/o noticing it...but luckily we did because there was a chicken fried steak of the gods wheel barrelled over to our table and dumped onto plates....i was so glad to finally make the non camping gf happy! Didnt last long as soon as ahe seen how much i tipped our (jaw dropping) waitress...the meal n drinks was $35 and i left $80 cuz i believe it was worth it...oh yeah the tall glass of water who brought us our drinks was referred to by Tara i believe....plan on going back by myself very soon!”

“The food is always good and the tortillas are the best! I prefer ordering freshly prepared menu items over some of the stuff on the Steam Table, although the green and red pork and the Carne guisada are always great.”

“Wonderful hidden gem for authentic Mexican cuisine. They have the best homemade fresh gorditas that we have ever had. My mom had them around 2019 and has been pining over them ever since so for her birthday this year 2024 we were FINALLY able to go back. They did not disappoint. They also have several dessert options. I did not try them this time, but it is on my list for my next visit.The staff were very professional and courteous. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. Also, the drive is beautiful on the country roads. They do have a drive through as well if your on the go!”

“Great food, great environment, and kid friendly! Watch out the playground can get a little rowdy, so always monitor your children. Took off one point for service because I don’t understand the point of ordering at the bar…and then getting a server when you sit down. IDK just my ”

“Love this bar!! The atmosphere is perfection!! The drinks are amazing!! I have had my birthday party here and had a lot of compliments from my coworkers from San Antonio on how amazing this bar is!! It is a nice place just to stop and have a quick drink or have a night out with friends!!”

“Good place to come and hangout and have a good cup of joe, but when you order a bagel with cream cheese and you have to add the cream cheese yourself.... that's an issue. I can do that at home. then you have to do your own clean up, not sure why they are asking for a tip at payment? The coffee shop is clean and the staff is very friendly.”

“Went by this charming place to get coffee and pastries for the kids. The attendant was very helpful making suggestions for my husband. The best customer service I’ve ever had at a coffee shop! We left with a special latte recommended by the staff and delicious pastries that included a blueberry muffin, confetti scones and gluten free cinnamon muffin. All homemade! I wish there was one near me. Go here! You won’t regret it!”

“We went to the hill country for our Anniversary and found this little gem. They honestly have the BEST margaritas, chips and salsa! The drinks were smooth and the salsa was homemade. We enjoyed sitting on the back patio with a little breeze and our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back the next time we are in the area!”

“We ordered the butter marsala and the butter and garlic none bread. One serving was enough for both my husband and I to have a bowl and bread. We ordered level 1 spice and it was just perfect!”

“My son is a very, very picky eater. At 17 he has to have only non greasy foods.He always gets steamed dumplings with extra sauce. Steamed rice with chicken and extra veggies.. when I got home 20 minutes after leaving the restaurant I handed him the food. Twenty minutes later he was throwing eating everything.He said that the cooks really got it right. The dumplings were perfect and delicious the rice was cooked to perfection and the chicken and vegetables were full of flavor.My husband asked me if I had served him or a stranger because he sure didn’t act like our son!Thank you China King for the wonderful food. I have never seen my son so pleased.”
