“The food at this restaurant is the best that my son and I have ever had, his favorite is the chicken teppanyaki and mine is the scallion fish a must have. The atmosphere is delightful with the goldfish aquarium and relaxing decor. And Jane the manager there is very welcoming and gracious, as are the servers. Shogun (on 2920) is definitely a place to come for a delicious meal with friends and family. A+“

“I love this restaurant for so many reasons... great food, staff, and atmosphere. So many varieties of sushi, fresh, and much more. All of the staff are friendly and especially, the owner Vanesa. she's the sweetest lady I have ever met. I highly recommend this place.“

“Seriously great sushi. For lunch time, the buffet price is awesome! Even at dinner the crew makes your rolls in ~5min, maybe approaching 10min at the busiest times. The waiters we've had were all very nice too. They have quite a few hot/cold/cooked/raw sushi rolls. And if you're like me and have small wife/kids who can't appreciate a full "meal and a half" they're more than welcome to order their chicken tenders or single roll without dropping the full price of the buffet. Please all!“

“This place is great. Came for my anniversary and they have great option for food and drinks if you're interested in drinking. They have American and Asian options. It was my first time enjoying sake. Typically not a big fan. The food portions aren't as big as yours usually get in Texas, but my girlfriend and I shared a plate and sushi and I was satisfied, so it wasn't too bad. It is a bit pricey, but unlike a lot of the other expensive places I've been to, the flavor made it all worth it, so I wasn't mad about it.For the gym rats: The food here is pretty straight forward, so it's not hard to find plates with just a protein, a small portion of veggies and a side of rice. Counting your macros is relatively easy here. I would recommend it unless you're bulking on a budget lol.“

“Went there around Homecoming time on a Saturday evening. My husband and I were waiting for my younger daughter, who was having ice cream nearby with friends. We had our little dog on a leash with us and spontaneously decided to grab some dinner while waiting. We saw some outdoor seating at Shogun, so we asked if it was ok if we ate out there with our dog. They were kind enough to oblige. Despite it being very busy with Homecoming crowds of teenagers, the service was quite prompt and courteous. Someone from the staff (? Maybe owner or manager) even brought out a little paper bowl for us to pour water in for our puppy. Food was very good. We enjoyed the experience. We will definitely be back!“

“Our first time here, and definitely will be back. Food was delicious, service from wait staff was consistent and quick. Chef met all our requests for our meal and overall a great experience. Was a little on the noisy side, and place is smaller with shorter ceilings. But definitely does not affect the overall experience.“
