Friends chose a range of other dishes. I can guarantee whatever you choose, you won’t be disappointed. Everything is flavorful, fresh and beautifully presented. “I was just in town for a meeting and saw this hole in a wall. It followed my rules for this sort of restaurant which is that it has a very generic name and a limited menu. I wasn't disappointed. A reasonably priced example of a chicken/lamb over rice/salad sort of place as good as I've had in any major city. Again not mind blowing but it was exactly what I expected. The red sauce was good and it had the standard selection of veggies/toppings. I would definitely eat there again.The worker inside was very kind and attentive.In the back there is seating for a couple dozen people but is mostly a takeout/door dash sort of place. I had no issues parking out front.Parking: Has a half dozen or so spots. Had no issues parking in front of the store.”

Steven the manager stopped by to check on me, Brooke was super friendly and accommodating, Migjon the chef brought me a special steak to enhance my burger experience. Talk about accommodating Veronica the hostess was really looking out for me. When I thought the item I came for was not available she was going to the chef to ask if they could make it for me(I saw the item was available and saved her the trip). The burger I had could use a little more seasoning beyond that it was perfect!”

This place is worth paying for parking as the food is pretty good. Service here is decent, with a setting made for hanging out with friends. It's comfortable, casual, and can also be good enough to enjoy with family. Again, food is pretty good. My wife went light with spinach artichoke dip (this was very average), while I had the schnitzel (very good) with smashed potatoes, and my son had the jambalaya pasta (he liked). All in all a positive experience.”

We left fully satisfied, and I know I will be back again and again! I highly recommend the roasted beet salad, the churrasco, and the passion fruit cheesecake. My friends loved the pan con jamon, the bacon wrapped dates, and the arepitas. Really, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! The service was impeccable, and the ambiance was beautiful. More importantly, it is 10 minutes away from Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. We had a great welcome by the owner. Our server was Alex. Four of us had a dinner reservation at this restaurant. After dinner, we went to a show (Shear Madness) at John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. We ordered the following and here are my ratings Drinks (Baby Amarone, Tito, Spritz, Mojito, Bellini) - 9/10 Food (Octupus, Garlic Bread, Eggplant Parm, Fusili Crab Meat, Margherita Pizza) - 9/10 Desserts (Tiramisu) - **5/10** and Cappuccino - 9/10 Service - 9/10 I always feel there is a scope to improve the quality of the food. So, maximum score is 9 out 10. Tiramisu - It is not to the standard, and it is based on my experience eating Italian food for more than 30 years at other restaurants in NY, NJ, PA, DE, VA and MD. Also, this is my favorite dessert, especially if I am at an Italian restaurant. I strongly recommend Osteria Da Nino and will go back with more friends!!”

Their free appetizer chips were incredible, especially if you get a fresh warm batch, and the pico and salsa (not sure of ingredients but warm brown dip). Wife got a chimichanga which she loves and I got a combo of cheese and chicken enchiladas which were fabulous! We came back at the end of our trip and had margaritas which were best I've had (not too sweet or "alcohol-y) in a while. That led to a 2nd dinner which I ordered the Cinco De Mayo platter expecting a couple fajitas. I read the menu wrong because what arrived to the table took most of the available space: a plate with three BBQ pork ribs, strips of grilled chicken, strips of tender steak, chorizo, fajita onions/peppers, and two of their shrimps as well as a second plate with baked beans and yellow rice and a third plate with scoops of pico, guacamole, and sour cream and a basket with three free warm tortillas. Every single thing on this plate was out of this world delicious!!! Pricing was very reasonable too, staff were very friendly but soft spoken and the atmosphere inside was pretty noisy (although patio/outdoor seating is nice if the weather is to your liking). They had desert too but I didn't get any because I was too full both visits. We ended up eating at a nearby restaurant on a different day and the value comparison was night and day. Guapo's is your best value on this street in Shirlington regardless if you're looking at taste, price, or customer friendliness (hours, staff, atmosphere)Parking: We walked or took public transit so I don't have first hand experience but appeared to be street parking with some free and some paid spots depending if you were on the strip or a side street. You're going to have a hard time regardless. There's a grocery store at the end of the road which did have a parking lot which you might be able to utilize but I recommend bus or walking.Kid-friendliness: Inside it's a bit loud but the walls have decorations like six shooters and mariachi paintings which would have amused or started a conversation with my kids. They had customers with birthdays and the staff do a unique performance and provide a sombrero which again would have amused and delighted my children to see. I think as long as your kiddos like Mexican food and can handle a bit of loudness then its a good balance between kid friendly and adult friendly atmosphere.”

I have celiac disease, so it can be difficult to find chains that are willing to make it possible for me to eat their food with low risk of cross contamination. The Jimmy John's unwiches are perfect! Super hefty portions and fresh ingredients. The staff does everything they can to mitigate cross contamination (just call them/go in person to make sure they know about your allergy). I keep ordering from here because their staff continues to make sure my allergy needs are met, and they are a delight to talk to! Ben and his team are the best! Highly recommend -- celiac or not! :)”

“Mambo sauce vs mumbo sauce as well as the sweet and spicy jam sauce. The mambo sauce was spicy. However the sweet and spicy jam sauce was not at all. It w as more sweet than anything else. I believe McDonald’s is trying to play a trick on words with their sauces because they did not meet my expectation. Of the two I like the mambo sauce. The customer service could be better. The cashier appeared agitated when I asked her to repeat the count for each choice of nuggets. Then went I went to pick up my order. I checked my bag and noticed the two different sauces I had asked for were not inside of my bag. When I asked for the other sauce I was told I would be charged. I shared that I would give once sauce back to them in order to receive the other sauce I had asked for. They agreed. However, if the cashier had gotten it correct when I placed my order the interaction would not have had to occur at the stage of pick up.”

We ordered the following and here are my ratings Drinks (Baby Amarone, Tito, Spritz, Mojito, Bellini) - 9/10 Food (Octupus, Garlic Bread, Eggplant Parm, Fusili Crab Meat, Margherita Pizza) - 9/10 Desserts (Tiramisu) - **5/10** and Cappuccino - 9/10 Service - 9/10 I always feel there is a scope to improve the quality of the food. So, maximum score is 9 out 10. Tiramisu - It is not to the standard, and it is based on my experience eating Italian food for more than 30 years at other restaurants in NY, NJ, PA, DE, VA and MD. It was for sure busy over Mother's Day weekend and some of the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed. The tea offerings were very limited in my opinion. I got the Blueberry White, one of my girls got Blue Eyes, and my other one got Hot Cocoa (they offer this for kiddos that don't want tea). The girls and I enjoyed our beverages. For the food, my older one and I enjoyed our scone and the savory pastries. She didn't quite enjoy anything on her Teddy Bear plate but found a lemon pastry on my rack that she absolutely loved. From the Bruschetta appetizer to our entrees, which ranged from Spaghetti and Meatballs to more sophisticated fare, each of us loved our food. The portions are generous and present a great value. “This place is TERRIFIC!! Small and easy to miss on a corner shopping lot, but not to be missed. The crispy tuna appetizer is out of this world and the specialty rolls I've had are also terrific. I had the pleasure of sitting at the sushi counter today and one of the chefs made these little wontons as a treat-- SO AMAZING. Wonderful beer and sake selection. This is worth coming from DC for!”

“So good! We had two arepas ($4.50-$5 each), the caraqueña and the la spicy tinga! Both arepas were stuffed to the brim, great flavors and filled us up! Also had the maracuya agua fresca (passion fruit juice) and it was great, not too sweet and flavorful!For dessert we had the churros and they were freshly made, hot and delicious!Staff were also very friendly and you can try the different juices.Highly recommend and will come back to try their bowls, burritos and other arepas!The inside is also cute, with lots of seating options.”
