“We loved our meal at Ellie Bird! The salmon was cooked absolutely perfectly, and we loved that there were delicious non-alcoholic drink options. The staff was very attentive and our meal was paced well. We’ll be back again!”

“One of the best spots in the DMV hands down. I wanted to check out the place for some time because I had never experienced Taco Tuesday for myself. Like it was just lingering in my head until one day I suddenly said to myself, " I should really try something new today ". And thus, here we are with a review. La Tingeria is a Taco Shop located in Falls Church. If there's one thing I will have to mention, the parking situation is like trying to solve a jigsaw puzzle. Why are there so many cars here? How can anyone park here? There's parking on the streets, the sidewalk but it's very limited. I'm not saying there are better options close to you but if you are briefly going in to pick up food, I think you'd be okay with parking relatively close by. I must have hit the lottery when I accidently checked Instagram or so on Tuesday. Saw a post from where their social media representative mentioned 5-9 PM for 2 dollar Tacos. That's amazing! I decided to splurge because why not right? After parking, I ventured inside. I think I must have been the first to walk in once it hit 5 PM, I was on a mission for sure. I immediately went to the board to check out all the Taco Items they had.. Birria, Chorizo, Hal Pastor, Carne Asada, ect... So many good options. I got 2 Birria Goat, 2 Birria Beef, 1 Tinga Chicken, 1 Tinga Beef, 2 Chorizos for my choice of tacos. I also paid for Consomme which is an absolute must if I'm going to dip my tacos in delicious broth. I also had to get a Mexican Coke too. The only downside was there was one that wasn't chilled so it was at room temperature. The Birria Goat/Beef were soft, tender chunks of meat that melted in your mouth with full bliss the minute you took a bite. Dipping it into the Consommé felt like a dream came true. I never experienced a wide array of euphoria after eating good tacos. The Tinga Chicken/Beef Tacos were okay but the meat kept falling out of the Taco and into the Consommé. It was good but I think I would opt for something else. The Chorizo tacos had a slight kick to them but not overpowering. I think with the Consommé they brought more of that saltiness out. For around 24 dollars, this is a match made in heaven. I think truly this is a place I will check out again for sure.”

“This place is a true local gem. Food is of very high quality, and everything is consistently cooked to perfection. Their consistency is actually really impressive - I’ve never been disappointed by a single thing, and I’ve eaten A LOT of their food. But everything is so good, so I haven’t really made my way outside of the same few items from their menu. The difference is that the staff actually care about their customers, and take pride in their food. It’s not so common these days, and is a pleasant surprise. It’s the reason I will always eat there.”

“i love coming here! their food is great and service is fast. the brand of soju they have is sweet (i recommend green grape). there are kpop videos projected on the walls with music which is a nice touch. lastly, expect it to be crowded because of how good the food is.”

“I have dropped in a few times now. The soups have been fantastic. Tom Yum lives up to being a classic. I also loved the main entrees Pad Thai and Drunken Noodle. The environment is very friendly, clean, and relaxing. The owner, and staff, greet customers with friendly smiles. I can let go of stress with each visit. I am planning more trips to eat my way through the extensive menu and enjoy some great smiles. Great selections available to share dishes.”

“First time dining here and loved it. Brought my wife for her birthday and they personalized the menu and brought her a decadent dessert on the house. Calamari breading is immaculate and Wagyu tartare was done very well with some micro greens. Our waiter claimed the duck was the best he’s had and truthfully it was in the highest echelon. The serving of lobster with ravilolini was generous. Such yummy dessert too (had the pineapple mojito). Was a little skeptical given it’s in Falls Church in an office building but pleasantly pleased ?”

“Takumi is a cute and cozy restaurant in Falls Church City. It has a sushi bar and a relatively small dining room. It is quite popular and may not be the best option for large parties. The sushi is fresh and generally better when you come for dinner. Its lunch menu offers many great options at reasonable prices. My favorite is its sushi/sashimi bento box for lunch.”

“Nazareth is one of the best Ethiopian restaurant in town! The food is authentic and delicious.We ordered TIBS FIRFIR, chickina tibs and Goden tibs served over Njera in family style platter. The Tibs is a perfect balance of spicy and savory. The Y was crispy on the outside and soft chewy on the inside. The ribs firfir is flavorful and satisfying and the portions were huge! The Njera was warm to the touch - a very nice touch!The service is impeccable. The atmosphere at Nazareth is casual and inviting. The owner even came out of the kitchen to greet us and ask about our experience.Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Nazareth. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a great Ethiopian dining experience.”

“This hole in the wall restaurant is one of my favorite places to go for szechuan food. The prices are a bit on the higher side but for the flavors I'm looking for, it's all their. I usually get the Dan Dan Noodles, Twice Cooked Pork, Cumin Lamb and sometimes Mapo Tofu or Kung Pao Chicken. Haven't had any bad experience with them and will keep coming back!”

“We were all blown away by the Passover Seder menu. My guests couldn’t believe how fluffy the matzah balls were and the soup was filled with deliciousness! “Bartenders are great and pour very good cocktails. Food is pretty good to excellent - the steak frites at the top end of the spectrum. The oft-heralded popcorn is strangely provided to some but not others. Parking lot is insufficient, so the $10 valet charge is obnoxious (certainly at 6pm) when things are full with some (poorly) signed auxiliary lots close by with more capacity.”

“I have a love/hate relationship with this place. When it comes to events, everything is at the lobby once you walk in and it's filled with neon lights, a dimly lit bar full of many offerings of alcohol you can get, a few small sections for VIP for your friends, and usually a DJ playing their music. There's open karaoke as well but I don't know if people sing often in the lobby. So I have been here many times for my friends and even booked a room as well. Rooms are spacious and they do have pretty nice audio. But there is one thing that truly irks me every time I come here. So they have a touch screen where you can add your karaoke songs through YouTube or through their system but getting the videos to load is a pain. It's annoying to deal with because it skips to the next song in queue so if you are with a group of 5+ more people, it can be very stressful. The worst part is we asked the staff about it and they aren't really sure what to do about the connection. I mean they should really fix that because I'm sure it gets people upset. No one wants their song to be skipped. Aside from that, you can also hear the loudness from other rooms, I don't expect that to be an issue but it's noticeable on busy nights. If you do plan to go here, there's one thing I highly advise before going. Check their socials if they are hosting any event and call ahead to know about the room rates. The website shows their original flat rates for the room but in events, they raise the prices up. If you go in person, check the menu before deciding to put your money down. This place also adds gratuity to the bill so be prepared to drop down a lot. While I frequently come back here just to hang out with friends, karaoke is one of my favorite hobbies. Its never a good time when your song doesn't get played or you get charged way more than you should.”

“Went here for Mother's Day brunch. Now usually Mother's Day brunches are a hassle for the restaurant, and a disappointment to the customer (at least in my experience), but The Falls knocked it outta the park! This was actually our 2nd time dining here as we had a very nice dinner there awhile back and thought we'd return. They had a special Mother's Day menu that included prime rib, and I really dig the unlimited small plate concept. Everybody got to order what they wanted, and everyone got to share a bite or two. The mimosa kit was very fun and at the end they gave my wife a special cookie treat to take home. The food was excellent, but our server was even better. His name was Nelson, and he was awesome. I mean, he never missed a beat and when we were done with the first round of dishes he was immediately there to see if we wanted more. He made some great suggestions and was a total pro. Can't wait to return!”

“I was impressed by the freshness of the Injera and the vegetarian platter. The wait staff was very polite but there were not enough servers. I would have preferred If food was more tasty. The alecha had only one sliver of a carrot with the rest of it was cabbage- Usually it has potato and carrot. The lentils/yellow peas didn’t seem to have Any spice at all. My friends enjoyed the beef Tibbs. Serving of injera was plentiful. The cappuccino was very nice and we enjoyed our time there.”

Good selection of wines by the glass and smoothies made of fresh fruits.We ordered the special platters: short ribs, steak, Argentine sausages are delicious; the unusual blood pudding, and liver stuffed intestine are tasty if you are feeling adventurous. The chicken and pork chops are marinated well but a bit on the dry side.$84 appears pricy but fed us, two hungry adults and one starving kid with the pork and chicken remaining.”

I picked up two drinks for my wife and I that came to $4.50. This should be some good Gatorade.Ordering on line was an experience. My wife got her orders right, but my orders were missing an ingredient for 3 orders of donuts after I had already selected them. Oh well. Problem fixed and I now have the Donuts in my car.Time to go home and eat. Duck Donuts is really starting to spread its wings around Virginia. Guess we will see how big they get.”

“May 2024 update: Fava Pot has become hands down one of my favorite restaurants in the broader Washington DC area. The quality of food remains consistently strong and super tasty; probably the best hummus and fresh baked pita I've had in a long time, for starters. This place has become our default go-to for anytime we want tasty food. It's also great for bringing guests since the menu is large and diverse, so can accommodate pretty much any dietary needs. We liked their food so much we ended up asking them to cater our wedding picnic, which went really well.-------------------------------------Original review: Excellent food, reasonable prices, and friendly staff and owners made this a very pleasant experience. Can't wait to go back and try even more dishes!”

“I had to pick up items for a work breakfast the following morning to accommodate some attendees gluten sensitivites. As I walked in, tge glass case proudly displayed the beautiful offerings and I only wish I could have tasted everything. While there, I purchased a savory mushroom turnover, latte, and a chocolate heart cheesecake. The turnover was delicious. The pastry was flaky, savory, and mouthwatering. I'm not the biggest coffee drinker, and the kind lady that waited on me suggested the latte. Her assistant made a beautiful heart pattern with the frothed cream and it was delicious. I had the cheesecake dessert in the afternoon. It was not overly sweet like many. It was a good balance. I highly recommend the pastries and latte and will go back to try other itens. Definitely give this bakery a try.”

The lamb itself from Kulan was incredibly delicious, with a tender and succulent texture that melted in my mouth. You get that nice wok fry flavor and char on the noodles that gives the dish the unique Thai street food taste. The chicken empanadas are a great appetizer! If you are a fan of pork belly, I’d totally recommend getting the pork belly w/ Chinese broccoli over rice dish and order a side of curry sauce to pour over the rice! I also highly recommend the Panang curry. The restaurant is very small and super casual but id def recommend every time!”

They're the only reasonably priced sandwich place I town I feel, I just can't stand spending $8 bucks a banh mi at Banh Mi DC and feel like I just ate air. I used to think the sandwich fillings and pickled vegetables were was tasteless here, but the bread was always sublime, I think they've bumped up their game in recent times. But I do think the bread is not as good now (but not horrible either). Can't win. The #1 and #2 Combination isn't as good as Banh Mi DC's either, but i usually get the grilled chicken here, add some more Maggi sauce at home and a smidge of mayo since the sandwich can get a little dry. I'll still come here again and again though.”

“This location has some of the strangest storefront architecture I've ever seen, in a nice way. Lots of places to sit inside or a large parking lot/drive thru. Very busy but staff always handles it well. They're often out of certain items by the afternoon/end of day. But still the best in the Falls Church area!”

“Yelp doesn't lie, this place is a top notch breakfast choice in the Falls Church area. There were lots of cars out front so I was worried it would be a wait but the place is much bigger than you'd think so we got a table without a wait on a Saturday morning. The food is large portions and everything was hot, fresh and tasty. The carrot cake and pecan pancakes were enjoyable and even though I was hungry I couldn't finish the second one and might just get one next time. The grits are also fresh and tasty and the million dollar bacon lived up to its reputation as a must try. The coffee was hot and enjoyable as well and they left the pot on the table so no waiting for refills. This place is worth a try if you're in the Falls Church area and I'll be back again sometime.”

“One of the best spots in the DMV hands down. I wanted to check out the place for some time because I had never experienced Taco Tuesday for myself. Like it was just lingering in my head until one day I suddenly said to myself, " I should really try something new today ". And thus, here we are with a review. La Tingeria is a Taco Shop located in Falls Church. If there's one thing I will have to mention, the parking situation is like trying to solve a jigsaw puzzle. Why are there so many cars here? How can anyone park here? There's parking on the streets, the sidewalk but it's very limited. I'm not saying there are better options close to you but if you are briefly going in to pick up food, I think you'd be okay with parking relatively close by. I must have hit the lottery when I accidently checked Instagram or so on Tuesday. Saw a post from where their social media representative mentioned 5-9 PM for 2 dollar Tacos. That's amazing! I decided to splurge because why not right? After parking, I ventured inside. I think I must have been the first to walk in once it hit 5 PM, I was on a mission for sure. I immediately went to the board to check out all the Taco Items they had.. Birria, Chorizo, Hal Pastor, Carne Asada, ect... So many good options. I got 2 Birria Goat, 2 Birria Beef, 1 Tinga Chicken, 1 Tinga Beef, 2 Chorizos for my choice of tacos. I also paid for Consomme which is an absolute must if I'm going to dip my tacos in delicious broth. I also had to get a Mexican Coke too. The only downside was there was one that wasn't chilled so it was at room temperature. The Birria Goat/Beef were soft, tender chunks of meat that melted in your mouth with full bliss the minute you took a bite. Dipping it into the Consommé felt like a dream came true. I never experienced a wide array of euphoria after eating good tacos. The Tinga Chicken/Beef Tacos were okay but the meat kept falling out of the Taco and into the Consommé. It was good but I think I would opt for something else. The Chorizo tacos had a slight kick to them but not overpowering. I think with the Consommé they brought more of that saltiness out. For around 24 dollars, this is a match made in heaven. I think truly this is a place I will check out again for sure.”

There were lots of cars out front so I was worried it would be a wait but the place is much bigger than you'd think so we got a table without a wait on a Saturday morning. The food is large portions and everything was hot, fresh and tasty. The carrot cake and pecan pancakes were enjoyable and even though I was hungry I couldn't finish the second one and might just get one next time. The grits are also fresh and tasty and the million dollar bacon lived up to its reputation as a must try. The coffee was hot and enjoyable as well and they left the pot on the table so no waiting for refills. This place is worth a try if you're in the Falls Church area and I'll be back again sometime.”

The food was so good, my favorite was the Bánh hỏi đặc biệt. The owner went around to every table and checked up on everybody and our waters were being refilled constantly. Everyone was really nice. They don't typically do anything special for birthdays, but the owner gave me a free mango sticky rice!! Even after we paid and started to leave, the owner came out to us and recommended the ice cream place next door. I really appreciate family businesses and loved to see that traditional foods are still very accessible to people with dietary restrictions. I am 100% visiting again.Dietary restrictions: Many of their dishes can be made vegan easily and they have a glutton free menu.”

There's plenty on the menu for Mia to distinguish itself from the rest of Eden Center's drink offerings. I was getting worried about over saturation of boba. Though like most boba spots, Mia looks like a fun hangout spot with your friends. Order some drinks and snacks and you can have a chill sit-down after you grocery shop, too. The green, clean, and bright interior really fits the theme for sugarcane.”

Last friday when I went there was a promotion from their Instagram claiming that they were giving out free drinks for the whole day at this location. While the only other drink I had was their seasonal Sakura Latte I wanted to try out their cold brew. This place is spacious and it features lots of ample room to sit down to do work or hang out with friends. Ordering went smooth despite the wait. Since there's a lot of people wanting a free drink, it's going to take a bit longer. I got a Large Nitro Cold Brew Mint. Really refreshing if you like the taste of mint but it was enough to keep me awake. Surely I'd visit this place again as it's next door to my friend that lives across the street.
