“When I first walked in, it was not all chaotic. Servers we serving, and the place didn't feel stale or muggy, it felt welcoming and had a real calm atmosphere. I went with my father, and he said the same thing. We were approached and were given a choice to sit were we wanted, and that is a huge deal for me. Im more private in my conversations, and we we able to pick the perfect spot we felt comfortable to sit at, and that alone raised the bar for me. Just being given the option took away any fear of others listening to our conversation, and it felt safe. Once we sat down, it was like a whirl wind of customer service. It felt like a mixture of military/5star attention. We were asked within 10 seconds of sitting what we would like to drink, and tables and silverware were clean!. . Floors clean, smelled great, and windows were clean and clear. I notice these things because it says a lot about a business owner, especially at a restaurant. Once we got our drinks, 10 seconds later we were given menus, and told to take our time. Within 3-4min. we were approached and asked if we were ready to order, or if we needed more time. We ordered quickly, and we amazed of the time it took from walking in to ordering was less than 5-7. Super quick, and we really liked that. After we ordered, I liked how fast and quickly everyone that was coming in, was being served quickly. I also notice many different nationalities eating. This made me Happy, because it really says a lot about a business. With so many cultural differences, and how different races of people eat, communicate, and live, many businesses fail to learn cultural sensitivity. This is important, because I see a business draw so many different people in, IT SAYS, WE ARE TOP NOTCH, and. your business & opinion matters for us to give every single person TOP NOTCH SERVICE. Once we got our food, it was AMAZING!. . Never had hash browns like that, eggs on point(over easy), bacon cooked PERFECTLY!, Sausage done right with great old fashioned flavor, refreshments FRESH!. . (refills were done quickly), biscuits & gravy done perfect 99.8 (maybe a bit more pepper to be 100), toast was my only uhh. I wish they would have served Texas toast with what was presented to us on our plates. If Texas toast is added, I would say this is the place to eat breakfast from the places I have been to, and go eat out a lot from Washington, down to Texas, and different countries. The verbal articulation, and the ability to get things right each and every time we requested things was on point 100%. It was nice going to a place that actually does its homework to make a great restaurant come alive during business hours is far and few, and a rarity now days. The servers made our visit a great one, and the chefs did their jobs TOP NOTCH, and served a breakfast that I believe would be hard to beat in any competition. This establishment is a my favorite for breakfast NOW, I will be going Saturday, and look forward to the same service. If we have the same experience, I will say this with confidence, IT IS THE BEST RESTAURANT FOR BREAKFAST IN THE YAKIMA VALLEY!. . “All the negative reviews were made forever ago, so take them with a grain of salt. Staff are very friendly, and the food was amazing! Took a bit to come out, but the servings were huge! Needless to say, we have leftovers but we aren't mad about it at all. My one critique is that the carne asada seemed overcooked. Overall, definitely worth the visit! Would recommend“

“My daughter got a waffle, eggs and bacon. Her waffle came with pre-packaged butter but was otherwise good. I got biscuits and gravy, which was good, but I wish it had sausage in the gravy. Very friendly staff, dining area was clean but bathrooms were not. No kids menu and kinda high dollar.“

There was a lot of boba at the bottom which was super nice! usually places i feel like don't put enough. The soup itself was also very good. super flavorful and i liked the meat that was inside. “The kind of brewery a city can rally around. Been to the Seattle taproom many times. Love the beer, love the vibe. Coming here to essentially Yakima HQ is a breath of fresh air, even on a cold winter night. The pizza served was fantastic. The bartenders were loquacious and eager to share details on their beer.“

“Great little family run Mexican food restaurant. It meets multiple criteria. First of all, authentic Mexican cooking isn’t going to come from a high school kid cranking out tacos. The kitchen and staff are authentic. Next criteria, when you see the restaurant packed with Hispanic diners, it’s a very good sign (never understood why Taco Bell checks that box often)The food and service were excellent. “This was one of the first wineries we visited in Yakima absolutely beautiful grounds and fantastic wines this places it’s a must visit at least once if you are looking for a great winery. We became wine club members here as we love the wine and the grounds plus friendly staff.“

“I've been coming here for 30 yrs. We live in Portland, Oregon. Owner Fred is amazing and the servers are nice and attentive. Steak tips and eggs are my fave! We had a pretty big party with us. My kids had pancakes, French toast, biscuits and gravy. Hubby had the Belgian waffle. Love the 50's decor. Took pics in the Cadillac seats. Too cute to pass up. This place would kill it in Portland or L.A. We'll definitely be back.“

“Very good food. Waitress was friendly. This was my first time eating here. I asked for a couple of suggestions. Gyros and chicken kabob were her choices. I went with the chicken kabob meal. It was served with saffron rice and green salad. Delicious! I had raspberry tea with it. The entire experience was good and left me with a smile. That of course our fault! … but I happen to be very hungry… two of your waiters (gentlemen) asked me if there was something they could get for me! Of course I said, yes!! I asked for Iced Tea .. brought to me immediately and then the second gentleman asked if he could get something for me .. he brought me a small loaf of that delicious bread nicely warm and butter!! It was delicious!! I would like to commend those two gentlemen!! Your restaurant is phenomenal as well as elegant!!! Thank you!! “Stopped by the Waffle Caffe with our Grandkids on our trip last weekend. The place was packed, but our wait was less than 5 minutes and our server was immediately at our table to greet us and get the great meal started. My omelet was the perfect size and delicious also the sides were great. The kids loved the Strawberry Cheesecake waffles. The atmosphere was one of happiness in controlled chaos with all the friendly servers going from table to table keeping coffee cups filled and chatting with customers and serving meals. Wonderful place that I highly recommend!!“

“I had no idea that Los Hernandez Tamales had a second location. I was really questioning the GPS when it was leading us there but it didn't lead us astray at all. I knew only of the Union Gap location which is not far from the Interstate and just a little south of the Yakima city limits. But this location does indeed have a Yakima address. In some ways I like this location a little more. There is just a few more tables and seats at this location than the other and if you want a beer to go with your meal you can have one. Menu is a little bit expanded as well which I am sure is good but we can never pass up these James Beard award winning tamales when we are in the area. The tamales are as good as ever. I had a pork one and a Jalapeño one and they were just out of sight like they always are. We get the meal usually and the rice and beans that comes along with the tamales are just stellar. So very glad to know that another location exists in Yakima. It's a bit of a drive from the Interstate, twenty minutes about but the extra bonuses would make it worth it not that the Union Gap location doesn't deserve just as much love.“

“Let's get the obvious out the way... the place looks run down. The public eating area looks like the inside of a garage, and the smaller space next to the kitchen is far from cozy.The food though, is great! I suggest getting drive thru and avoid the noon lunch hour rush because it gets busy and wait times can get long.“

What makes this restaurant a five star place isn't fancy dishes, or expensive decor, or avant garde offerings, it's the people. My mom and dad have been coming to George's on date night for years.
