***This wasn’t just a minor slip—it showed a complete lack of basic service and attention to customers.***
I was really looking forward to trying this new restaurant after meeting the owner at the market, but the experience was extremely disappointing. When we arrived, we were told to sit at a table that was still dirty, covered with leftover cups and a teapot. It was the only table available, and we even had to grab our own menus. Despite the restaurant having only a handful of customers, it took nearly 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. When the server finally did, she said she would clean the table “right away,” but instead continued serving others while we sat waiting.

At that point, we decided to leave. This wasn’t just a minor slip—it showed a complete lack of basic service and attention to customers. Unfortunately, they’ve lost not only me but also the two other people with me as future customers. First impressions matter, and this place failed badly.

A wonderful place to stop for a quick breakfast on the trip from Calgary to Edmonton. Delicious home cooking with a great small town atmosphere. I was raised outside a town of 195 people, so it was great for bringing back memories.

There is no better breakfast place than Jam's - the food is delicious and reasonably priced, and the owner and staff are a delight!

Food was awesome, had the Benny, the small things blew me away. Even the side salad was so good and the hot sauce has such a great taste with a slow little kick.

Was not busy at all during prime breakfast time. The lady working was pleasant but unfortunately ,I ordered their Wally Burger and the menu states 2 patties. What came was one small patty that was ripped in half then stacked on top. Their menu has cheese add on at 0.5 then the I got charged 2.00. To my amazement, fries don’t come with the burger. My 14.00 “two” patty meal ensued up costing me $20.00. Would I go back? No.

That’s great the you’re willing to refund the $2.00 but the point is that your menu is deceiving. It states 2 pattie’s, not 1/4 lb patty ripped into two. Change your menus to just say 1/4 lb patty so this doesn’t happen to someone else. Your menu should say no fries included in the meal. Not an add on. $14 just for just a burger alone is outrageous.

Been here quite a few times in the past and was always great. Went recently just on the weekend and was not impressed. Im not usually one to complain about a restaurant but i wont be back again. The service was great but the food was terrible, the portions were small and the value for money was not great. I ordered the french toast and bacon, essentially it was 2 normal pieces of bread and thick cut bacon, no fruit or anything. The girlfriend got chicken and waffles and the chicken was raw, they told us they used cutlets and had the chicken temperature checked which they said was good to go. I bbq a-lot and couldn't have possibly eaten this, it was raw and even bloody in some spots. Im amazed she didn't get sick but we took there word for it. Just overall was not a great experience which is unfortunate. $60 for breakfast with tip seems outrageous to me

Update to owner. You don’t know what you’re talking about, also learn how to spell. It doesn’t matter because I’ll never be back so it’s your loss. I have also mentioned this to everyone I know so they avoid your place as well. Chicken is not supposed to be raw.

Response to owner: Haha, no, I'm not mistaken at all. Perhaps instead of trying to deflect you should take accountability for your employee's lack of training and the poor experience we had. Glad we didn't give you a penny of our money, because you're clearly a terrible business owner.

Walked in on a Friday morning. The place is tiny, I think 8 tables in total. Took 3 minutes to get a 'hello', then we sat for 15 minutes and didn't receive another word. Not even a glass of water. Then a Skip The Dishes driver came in and was promptly attended to while we and another table sat waiting for our order to be taken.
