I can’t believe this place has been here for 11 years and I hadn’t heard of it till now. Immediately walking into the space, I was transported back to my vacation in Japan. The recent renovations are stunning, and beautifully represents Japanese culture. The menu has lots of variety, there’s definitely something for everyone. We shared a few different rolls, and some appetizers. The food was all delicious, and very fresh. I was most impressed with the Tempura batter. Portion sizes and prices were fair. The owner served our table, service was amazing, quick, and Ana took the time to talk to each table. I also love the music they have playing, it’s all quiet lofi vibes, and adds a nice ambiance. The environment of the restaurant is very tranquil and really brings the essence of Japan to Airdrie. Ana even offered to deliver food to my elderly grandfather who lives across the street, instead of him making the walk to come in. I will definitely be making the 50 minute drive from South Calgary to come back again.

Cozy sushi restaurant. Very nice staff. Food is good.

Great service and very cozy place. We were there on Saturday and surprisingly it was not busy. Cool thing they have - you can mark items on the menu with a marker!
Ramen wasn’t as good, sushi was decent. Great spot to check it out.

Been eyeing this place for a while and just tried it for the first time. Nothing but good things to say about it. Sushi was fresh and delicious. Servers were top notch and super friendly. Very welcoming atmosphere! 100% going to be back!

Scallop was the best bite. Eel was also very good. Only piece I had an issue with was with the red tuna. Not as fresh.

The food was good with the exception of the green sponge cake they said was cheese cake. Very strange taste. Then the server seemed to forget about us and it wasn't that busy. Shame such great food

First time trying this place and I would rate it a zero star. The sushi was fast food quality and over priced, the tempura was extra breaded and not cooked fully, it was soggy and went into the garbage. Oh and the teriyaki chicken was not cooked fully and portions were very small. Do not recommend!

We had a small family gathering of 8 people here to celebrate my daughter's college graduation. We made reservations, and they were ready for us when we arrived.

The service was timely and friendly. We had a sushi party platter, which was raved about by those who ate it. My father and youngest daughter had the ginger chicken - my daughter, who is 8, had the full size (there's no kids menu here) and ate all of the ginger chicken. That is a testament in itself! I had the teriyaki beef bowl, which was delicious. Mio is definitely a hidden gem that does not get talked about enough!

Went here for a date night and everyone was super friendly, very kind and the food was amazing. Definitely recommend for good sushi at an amazing price.
