My family and I went to celebrate some birthdays. There is ample room for large gatherings though that particular dining room had a lot of room reverb which made the din white loud and difficult to hear our party at times due to the number of people in the room. It could use some baffling to dampen the overall sound.The service staff was friendly and prompt with greeting us and taking our orders.The food came out in a timely manner and the portion sizes were more than generous. I had the veal cutlet special which was only. $13! The veal was lightly breaded and melt-in-your-mouth tender. Didn't even need a knife to cut through it. The mash, and side that accompanied the dish were fresh and flavorful. I can't stand when a restaurant uses frozen veg. These were not. Gravy was a bit on the salty side but it meant I didn't need to add any seasoning to the dish. I would definitely order again. I tried some of the fish and chips my girlfriend had. Batter was very crispy though the edges were over done in her fish which made it cheery and dry.Overall it was a great dining experience, I definitely recommend Old Town if you're in Airdrie. Quality and quantity for the dollar it's hard to beat which explains why it's full all the time.
