Pita Basket Airdrie

Checked restaurants in the area after a visit to Value Village. Saw that this place had a 4.8 rating with over 1500 reviews. My wife had the small beef shawarma and I had the smaĺl mixed with beef donair. Wow. The high reviews are well deserved. Servings are huge. We both had leftovers. Staff are all so friendly and service was courteous and efficient. Lots of free parking and bathrooms are clean.

Had my first falafel wrap here last night, it was fantastic. Will no longer be driving into Calgary for my wraps and shawarma. 5/5

Went in Aug 30..2025....I went here to get my beef donair as I have for years because it's the best in airdrie... however I ordered one...was absolutely horrible. Its not made in front of you now, I asked for extra sweet sauce, it was dripping in grease, no sweet sauce what soever..had to throw it out. Absolutely horrible 😞 😢. When the owner is working, its fabulous...this trip was horrible

Staff that care, amazing food, huge portions for a good price, this place got it all! I got the small lamb and beef mix with fries and I couldn’t finish it. The fries are perfectly crispy and the wrap was packed with flavour. The garlic sauce garnish on the fries was a game changer for me. The staff were super friendly with smiles on their faces. I would recommend this place to anyone I come across.

This used to be my favourite place. Ever since they started having customers pay and choose ingredients at the til, then wait/sit while they made your order, most of my orders have been wrong. It’s disappointing every time I get a meal and it’s not what I ordered. I wish they would go back to letting customers pick ingredients while watching them make our food. Haven’t enjoyed eating there in a while because of this.

wow, never have dealt with such amazing people. Upgraded my wrap to a medium because they were closing. Doesn’t skimp on veggies like other restaurants. THIS PLACE IS KILLER NEVER TASTED A Shwarama LIKE THERES. The young philippine guy who works there deserves such a big raise. I’ve never given 5 stars before and he’s the reason.

Best tasting chicken shawarma! Staffs are very friendly and welcoming. Portions are huge and plated in a nice looking plate. Definitely coming back!

I recently visited this restaurant for a shawarma, but I was disappointed by the lack of hygiene. While I was there, I noticed the person preparing the food touching their neck and hair with their gloves on, then continuing to prepare the dishes without changing gloves. None of the staff (men or women) were wearing hair coverings. It’s a shame because the taste was fine, but hygiene needs to be improved to give customers confidence.

Whoever invented their new OG chicken wrap should be fired. Tastes like absolute garbage. What a disappointment, took two bites and threw it in the garbage. How do you mess up a chicken wrap that badly?? Are you just using leftover vegetables or something?? Never eating here again.
