Shawarma Palace- Airdrie

I have never felt so unwanted in a restaurant while ordering food..

I came in for takeout, and it was so awkward.. not even a hi or welcome.. Just no personality at all from any of the staff.. I tried to carry a conversation.. but it was so one-sided with zero response..
It was like they were all mad at the world and didn't want to see customers.. and had no interest in even being there..

This was my first experience, and sadly, my last as I was excited to try the food for the first time.. and was told by a friend it was good food..

Even though my in person experience was terrible.. I went home excited to try the food..
I was pleasantly surprised with the overall taste of the food.. but that was quickly interrupted by a long black hair that I pulled from my mouth.. needless to say, it wasn't a pleasant experience from start to end..

The all the stars got here only for the food itself!!!
But this is not a restaurant you wanna DINE-IN!! Just take out food. They treat you like a burden for them, staff is truly unprofessional , tables weren’t cleaned ! But at least learn how to treat your customer properly, will not be back…

Come here once and awhile, and the food and portions are always excellent. We also hosted a small group and tried the $99 catering option, and it was a hit.

Every time I pass by Calgary, I choose this place to be the treat to have before going back to Edmonton. 6⭐️s out of 5!

The food here was the best part of the experience, which for a restaurant would be a pretty good thing. However, the negatives really outshine the food.

While I do think the food was pretty good, it took over 10 minutes to get my food after ordering. That’s a long time to wait at an establishment like this. Also, they don’t give you that much food for how much you pay.

I’m not in Airdrie very much, but I would consider coming back here. It just wouldn’t be at the top of my list of restaurants if I had limited time available.

Shawarma Palace has been my go-to since my time in Calgary, and I’ve always appreciated the food. Unfortunately, this visit left a bad impression. I arrived about 15 minutes before closing, fully understanding it was near the end of the day. However, the staff’s attitude made it clear we weren’t welcome, even though nothing was said directly.

If the business prefers not to serve customers close to closing time, that’s understandable—but it would be more respectful (and honest) to either communicate that directly or adjust the posted hours to reflect that policy. All customers deserves a basic level of courtesy, even at the end of the night.

I hate the old guy that makes the food when you come in, he only greets my husband (good afternoon sir), he does this every time we go in, do better with your service, greet everyone. Going to be driving into Calgary for our next shawarma.

After trying a brand new taste experience and loving the flavour of every bite, I had to tell the staff there how amazing the food was, and I thanked them for it. After helping my daughter in the bathroom before getting ready to leave, they asked me if I would like a bag for my food to take home and I said yes, thank you so much. Then they surprised me with a treat to take home of different kinds of baklava. Absolutely amazing! And proof that when you are grateful, the universe delivers more. Completely unexpected and can’t wait to try it. Also, I got the number 12 on the menu, I highly recommend! It was a plate with every kind of meat, which was chicken, beef, and Lamb. I personally have tried Lamb on three separate occasions, and have never have liked it. But being as I’m the mother to a five-year-old and I am teaching her that our tastes change throughout the years, I decided to try it again. So happy I did, because this was absolutely delicious! If you ever find yourself in Airdrie, I highly recommend!🥰
