Had a really disappointing experience on April 26th. My wife and I were having our first date night without our little ones in almost 3 years. We chose State and Main as we have done take-out multiple times before and always enjoyed the food so we wanted to try dining in. No surprise, the food was great! However, the service we received throughout our visit was horrible. I will clarify that the individual was nice when we did see them but that was part of the problem, we didn’t see them very often. After taking our food order, the table beside us saw the server 8 times compared to the 1 time we saw them. I do believe they knew the person beside based on how they engaged them at their table but that shouldn’t justify neglecting other tables. For example, I finished my beverage right after our food order was taken. I put the empty cup on the edge of the table to hopefully signal that I wanted to order another beverage. We did not see someone at our table for about 30 minutes until our food arrived. The person who brought the food was not our original server but did ask if we wanted anything else. I asked them if I could get another beverage and they said yes. However, no one brought out another drink and we finally saw our server for the first time since we originally gave our order and finally got to ask them for another drink. Other than that one interaction, we has essentially no engagement. This was even more frustrating as we saw the server spend so much time at the table right beside us. My wife and I wanted to order additional sides, drinks and even a desert but considering we never saw our server until we finished, we decided to just leave and go somewhere else for another drink and dessert.

Came to State and Main for lunch and our server Dylan, who is also the manager was great! He was so attentive and made amazing suggestions. I got the Honey glazed chicken from his recommendation and it did not disappoint. I’ll definitely be back for this amazing service and food! Thank you!

What a beautiful experience at State and Main Airdrie. First time there. Dylan, the general manager should be working for the celebrities in Hollywood. His service was above and beyond. Down to every detail. I have never had such good service anywhere in my life.Great job to all the staff. Dylan the manager made our experience so enjoyable, he made sure we were taken care of and made great suggestions for drinks and food. I tried the jalapeño Mac and cheese and it was delicious. 10⭐️’s we’ll be back, thank you Dylan!

Always had a good quality food served here in past. We had two steaks, one had sweet taste and chewy and other one was very plain, with no taste at all. We also had two chicken burgers with crust totally burned, almost black. Not sure if they have different chef now but the food was not good at all. Not sure if I am coming back, used to be my favourite place in town. Even the guy serving us, can you at least please iron your dress shirt?

In today (not 10 mins ago) and we walked out without even ordering. You’re two young male servers on today really know how to drive away business. Unwelcoming is a polite way to put their attitudes. Two tables that came in after us had their orders taken first. They both made us feel as if we had personally offended them. We’ve had terrible service at many of your locations and after today we will be boycotting your establishment.
