Stopped in at 4:43 hoping for a burger, but they had already closed down most of the kitchen and were only serving fryer items. Tried calling ahead and no one answered. Disappointing experience

Play was dirty. The food was over greasy and tasted disgusting but never eat here again. Services wasn’t up to par did not check on customers one bit considering the people that were working they were being attentive And when asked for a refund on food, they said no the food was not even edible. It was gross, horrible service and horrible food. This place should not stay open. Or change the lazy owner

I used to love the mushroom cheese burgers there, 50 years ago as a kid. They were absolutely terrible when I visited for my 50 year school reunion. Brutally horrid mushroom sauce burger was thin and no flavor. I would not recommend at all. Stay away

Waitress sitting outside smoking a cigarette 2ft from the entrance and about 6ft from other customers said I couldn't come in with my Tim's coffee, I'd have to sit outside. I remarked I was just looking to grab breakfast on my way through town, at which point she said I missed breakfast as it ended 18 minutes ago. Ok, guess you guys have all the customers you need then. Breaking smoking laws 3 different ways, that's fine, but a $2 coffee and 18 minutes, no exceptions. Guess I'll go elsewhere when I pass through from now on.

I came through Athabasca with my sister from Fort McMurray to Edmonton! We stopped in on a Thursday afternoon and grabbed a burger! It was phenomenal and everything was hot and fresh! It was so good, I asked my hubby to let’s go on a Saturday for lunch all the way from Edmonton to just eat here because of my experience! The second time we went, it took longer to get our food, and when we did get it, everything was cold! The gravy was cold, the fries were cold and soggy and my burger was cold and they forgot the bacon I paid extra for! I couldn’t wait to come back and have lunch again here, and the second time was not a good experience! I don’t know if it’s better to come on a weekday verses weekend! I was disappointed the second time!

Stopped here twice now driving thru athabasca. The regular burger is a steal at 4.95. Tastes great, good portion for the money. Had a poutine, really good. Looks like a small mom and pop shop, quality reflects the pride of ownership. 100% recommend

Love the Athabasca Burger Bar. Its homey atmosphere and pleasant staff are a welcome change from the usual suspect chain-type burger places. We had a delicious chicken burger as part of the special and weren’t disappointed! Fries and gravy- why not? The only thing that made us unhappy was not being able to order more. 🤣 We’ ll be back!
