My family and I recently went there for a bite to eat. It brought back some really happy memories. The Athabasca Burger Bar was one of the popular hangouts for lunch, back in my day? I have very special memories there with many family & friends. The food is excellent, the staff are Amazing! And they even have Milkshakes too!! ?I would recommend stopping in if your passing through Athabasca.

We have tried this place a few times and have found the food to be just okay. On our last visit, after eating half a burger we discovered green mold spots on the bun. We did get a refund but unfortunately the desire to return was gone. Hopefully this burger bar improves the qaulity of their food because the place is super cute with a great location.

Closed everything 20 minutes early even though they’re “technically” open. no pizza sauce or marinara sauce for dipping. They just have ranch. They don't have fried chicken even though it’s on the menu. Really wonder who’s running the place.

Was recommended to try this place, few options in athabasca. The burger was very underwhelming, just a typical frozen patty, and quite small. Fries were just ok, nothing special, same with the gravy. When I try these independent places I expect something better than a McDonald's, food here did do it. Service was very good, restaurant atmosphere looks a little run down.
Hasn't changed in 40 years in the best possible way. Love this place. It's a must stop every time I come back home to

Prices weren’t horrible for milkshakes but what you pay for the rest is not what you get! Burgers were so small. Fries and gravy came in a large container but was barely full. My biggest complaint is the blonde girl who works at the front counter. She looked miserable and inconvenienced by people coming in. She was in no way friendly and had some major attitude in her voice when she did speak. Didn’t crack a smile once. You’d think the burger barn being a iconic staple in town that they would hire so friendly, presentable people but that was enough for me not to make that mistake again. I love to support local but your staff will drive people away with crappy service and messy presentation

Finally stopped in for food. Place is always busy. So it must be good. Almost a half hour for a frozen box burger with plain fries. No salt, ketchup or napkins. Last time for me.

The fact is, it is what it is a greasy spoon and it is good at it. The food is actually really good, the service was awesome. The price is really good, what it lacks is any ambience BUT again it is a greasy spoon so ya it is what it is!! Also having to go outside to use the bathroom is kind of annoying but overall really good!!!
