We recently had Back Forty Barbecue prepare dinner for our Echoes & Epilogues Reading Retreat, and everything was absolutely fantastic!
They delivered our meal right to the venue, set everything up beautifully, and the food was delicious — a true crowd-pleaser. From the very beginning, they were responsive, accommodating, and an absolute joy to work with. They helped tailor the menu to meet our group’s food allergies and dietary restrictions, making sure everyone was included and satisfied.
It’s rare to find such great food paired with such wonderful service — if you haven’t tried them yet, don’t miss out on this amazing local gem!

What a treat! We ordered a 10 person charcuterie to enjoy at our Airbnb for my mom’s birthday, and it was amazing! We had ten people and we all grazed on it for two days - it was the perfect amount. They did a really great job and included some special birthday treats, including some very pretty flowers decorating the charcuterie box, plus a very thoughtful heart-shaped cheese tray set. Everything was thoroughly enjoyed! Michelle was phenomenal, communication was great, and I only wish I could have met her to thank her in person! Charcuterie was delivered before our arrival, which was super convenient. We hope to be back next year and will be sure to place another order!

Simply delicious food. Every meal I’ve gotten has been a wonderful gastronomic delight. Tender, flavourful brisket. Lovely Esquites with just the right amount of heat. Homemade pickles. And you can feel the love.

Back Forty Barbeque was wonderful to work with for our wedding. Michelle helped with any questions I had and last minute changed that were needed. We got a chacuterie table and it was so well enjoyed there was none left for us to even try it. Their food was incredible and had guests saying their brisket was the best they have ever had. We had no dissapointments other than everyone ate so much there was barely any leftover to have the next day. Would highly recommend them for any function you have. Would use them again if we didn't live so far away!

One word: AMAZING! Back Forty Barbeque food is absolutely delicious! They catered my husband and I’s wedding last week and we couldn’t be happier. Words cannot describe how good the food was. My family are foodies and can be extremely critical of food and across the board the reviews on the food were that this it was some of the best food they have had. Everyone went back for seconds and some even thirds! People were raving about the food and had nothing but good things to say about it! Honestly if you can get them to cater for you I would 100% recommend. They are easy to deal with, amazing people and even more amazing chefs!

We had AMAZING BBQ foods for our wedding supper, very delicious meats and sides. I think almost everyone went for seconds. We also got the charcuterie board as a 'midnight lunch'...it was one of the best decisions we made! We got to watch this beautiful feast be created in front of us and we got to enjoy it right after!! The meats and cheeses were simply delicious!!! 10/10 would recommend!!

Our family enjoyed the Holiday Cheermeister offering this past weekend that consisted of Roast Beast (smoked brisket so delicious it literally melted in your mouth) Who-Hash (kind of like Schwartzies potato casserole from Company’s Coming cookbooks) ABC (Apple, Bacon, Cranberry) salad, roasted carrots, Cowboy Andy’s baked beans (WOW!) and apple crisp for dessert. We paired it with some zingy Grinch cocktails and quoted Grinch one-liners throughout for a festive touch!For 4 people, $85 was great value! On top of that, free delivery was awesome and very close to the promised time! The only thing we should have done was ordered a little bigger portion as it was so tasty we could have just kept on eating! Will definitely be partaking in this sumptuous feast again!
