Was looking forward to eating here tonight use to be great food. Tasted old like they just warmed up days old food. Never again and not worth the money I paid.

We were in town very briefly (December 14). Me and my family decided to try the food here. We were extremely hungry and needed food before we went back home.

Waitress was an older asian woman (maybe owner?) She was nice. We ordered their two person special Chinese combo & I had the clubhouse sandwich with french fries. Food had an interesting aftertaste and was flavourless.

I’m sure they have a good reputation in Athabasca. Would be willing to give them another try in the future.

Happy Garden? Not so happy staff. Dined in. First time at this business and it will be the last. Not greeted upon arrival, menus just plopped down on table, waitress walked away without a word. Not “Hello” and didn’t even ask if we wanted beverages to start. A few minutes later she brought plates and said, in a tone that seemed annoyed, “I brought plates.” (Is the expectation here that we should not use plates? Or do they just not like dine-in customers?)
Food arrived reasonably fast and most of it tasted good but the chicken wings tasted “off” or old. We advised the waitress of this, and then were met by some woman (owner?) who was abrupt with us. I reiterated that most of the food was good but that the wings just tasted off/old.
When the bill came she made sure we were billed for the four wings that had been eaten. No big deal here but still rather petty. When your food is off, you shouldn’t bill for it. We weren’t trying to get free food, lady, we were trying to avoid salmonella. Definitely will not be back … which probably suits the unhappy staff here just fine.

My wife and I ate dinner here. We ordered what we thought was mushroom fried rice but it turned out to be plain white rice with a few mushrooms and onions. The lemon chicken turned out to be more like chicken balls which were 90% pastry. The beef and broccoli was fine. Overall a disgusting meal.

The server spoke less than 20 words.

A lovely restaurant located on Athabasca's Main street, great wonton soup. It is a favorite of mine. Affordable family dining and always good for a take out dinners.

I’d choose starvation over eating at this establishment again.

I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience at this establishment. The food was subpar and overpriced. The 'chicken fried rice' was a letdown, tasting more like plain cooked rice and chicken. The shrimp was essentially fried dough, and the 5-piece chicken for $17 was outrageous.

The only redeeming quality was the vegetables that accompanied the beef dish. However, I was shocked to find only 5 pieces of steak in my box.

The saving grace was the friendly female cashier. Unfortunately, the kitchen's performance was severely lacking. I cannot in good conscience rate this place, but I can say I will not be supporting this business again.

Food itself wasn't good, and on top of that, $2 for sauce on side had some kinda metallic wire in it.

This right here was $24, combo 6. Plain rice instead of chicken fried rice, 5 pcs of pork, and about the same with beef and 3 pcs of shrimp. Excessive sauce. I think it's $24 because the amount of oil that was used in it was about $20 worth, so that makes sense.
Also, no cutlery was given for takeout.
