Use to be a great restaurant but the last few times I’ve been it’s “take out only” due to staff shortages they claim. But it’s the waitress standing at the till telling you about it so I’m not sure if they are having dine in license issue or something but it makes it a no go for taking the family out.

Older decor, but cute and clean restaurant, and the washrooms were nice as well. Kind staff (I assume the owners). I hate to say it, but the food left A LOT to be desired. I was expecting at least a decent burger and a milkshake or something from a small town drive in...but it was all so gross (not even tasteless or cold or any other way to describe it...just gross). Burger was gross, chicken fingers were disgusting pressed rectangles, fries were saltless, and even the spaghetti was gross (how??). None of my kids ate their meals, and upon sampling them, I could understand why. Everything we bought, nobody could stomach, including me (the garbage can for my kids meals). I feel like they must have some good meals available since there are lots of positive reviews...but we definitely didn't pick any of them. I would possibly give them a second try because I do like to support local when traveling to small towns for hockey...but ONLY if I knew what to order there that was popular. ...and I'm pretty certain that I've never actually written a negative Google review of any business...but the 4.3/5 review for this restaurant when I was looking for somewhere to grab dinner was absolutely mind boggling to me...so I wanted to caution people...I would give it a 2 or 3 overall just cuz it's clean and the staff were kind...but the food we just experienced was a 0 for stars.

Great place for a pit stop, or order ahead for pick-up. Good selection of food, burgers were top notch!
Went on a little road trip to Buffalo Lake for no real reason. Stopped at Max’s Drive-In in Bashaw and was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, good music and especially the burgers! Just what we were hoping for! A bonus on the reasonable prices!

Honestly I wasn't expecting much from this little Restaurant. My friend and coworker recommended it to me. Me and him ordered 2 burgers <both the dogwood burger> i had the salad my friend had the super poutine.
the highlight was most definitely the burger it was absolutely amazing it was rather good.
For the price listed its fairly cheap for one person 2 people its a bit pricy at around 30-60 dollars depending on what you order.
Parking: its a drive in first so the parking lot is rather small. it can fit about 3 cars before it becomes difficult to park in

I had that truckers burger never again. It was a double 2 hard thing burgers I couldn’t even finish it.the meat was hard burnt and thin. The Gravy with the fries was cold and clumpy. Sorry never again .
