I inhaled the whole sandwich thinking I would save half for later since it was a generous serving, and it came with a side of potato chips which complimented the flavor profile of the sandwiches. “Blue Quill Chinese Food had been our go to place for about 10 years. Until about 2 -3 years ago, we felt the quality had just gone down hill. I’m sure alot of restaurants/business’s struggled back then. But pretty much every dish was just filled with onions and carrots and spouts, and small amounts of the actual item we’d order, and flavour wasn’t there either. We tried a couple times, but eventually stopped ordering from there unfortunately.

Well last night my kiddo begged for Chinese food, and since we haven’t found other places in the neighbourhood that we’ve loved either, I clicked on Blue Quill and started reading the reviews. It stated they've been under new management, and had some good experiences. We ordered, and I have to say I was so impressed and happy! Not alot of extra fillers, flavour was great, portion sizes were amazing . The chicken balls are GINORMOUS! With big pieces of chicken inside. Their sweet and sour sauce is the only one I actually like, more sweet then sour and the deep red color. Reminds me of the one that was served at a restaurant in BC that I used to work at.

I know in all those years, the original owners were absolutely sweet and hard working, I have no idea if they are still there, and just getting some help, but I’m truly happy to have my go to place back!

We ordered the Dinner for 2 combo with spring rolls. Subbed Pineapple Chicken Balls for just sweet and sour, and added an order of Shanghai Noodles (has Bbq pork-yumm) and received a free order of Deep Fried Wontons.“

“My son and I went in for an early dinner on November 12. I really wanted to leave this review because of our server, Katherine E. She was wonderful, personable, polite, friendly, welcoming, on the ball, we wanted for nothing. Her service was totally impreccable and we wanted to make sure that she is recognized for being so amazing at her job. Don't get me wrong, the chicken & gnocchi soup was delish as per usual, the raviollo carbonara still makes my mouth water just thinking about it and their new mango passionfruit iced tea was wonderful addition to the menu, I highly recommend but this review is being written because our server was excellent and sometimes that makes the whole experience.

We had to get individual wrapped sandwiches during the pandemic. And they were fabulous as always. The food is delicious. The service is amazing. Thank you for feeding us during our busiest times.“
