Went in on Sunday! We were greeted by a really nice server who gave us a bunch of options for seating

Ordered the dinner for 4 and wonton soup!

We drove in from GP and Dawson creek, The soup was incredible it reminded us of the authentic Vietnamese wonton soup in Dawson.

Really nice variety of well cooked vegetables and the wontons were tasty!

When our food arrived it was like a dinner of 8 šŸ˜† we had some left over to take home

Couldn’t say I regret it
(Really don’t understand the harsh reviews)

Thanks guys šŸ™āœØ

Ordered the Combo Meals over the phone and got pick up in 30 minutes, got home and took a singular bite of a chicken ball, and it was chewy and bland, didn't taste like chicken, pretty sure it was just a frozen chicken ball. The chicken fried rice was greasy, and the chicken in the rice was chewy, and had gristle. I almost threw up. I use to order from this place when it was the green pepper so I was hopeful for good Chinese food. But not anymore, If you want Chinese food just go to Grande Prairie . :XXXX At least the guy on the phone was nice.. lol..

We ordered food from the Canton House last night and it was inedible. It was floating in grease and had absolutely no flavor other than old deep fat fryer grease. My husband actually got sick from it, and he had a couple fork fulls.

Was not very impressed. The bag of food they gave me was a complete disaster looked like they held the bag open and filled it with sauce. Burnt food and missing items.

Very good. Best Chinese around. I don’t get the bad reviews.

Good food, prompt service.

We have tried it four times and ordered different every time and nope it all is really bad most of it they have put there own twist on it and it doesn’t even taste like Chinese food and when you pay $100.00 for your food you expect it to be good the only reason they have a 4.1 rating is because they are using the old green pepper reviews which I may add was awesome Chinese food sense they have taken over from green pepper their review I’m sure would be 1-1.5 star come on guys please start making better food Chinese food is our favourite very disappointed customers :-(

Very disappointing. Went for dinner last night. Almost an hour before we eveb had our drinks ordered. The wontons in the soup tasted sour/expired and the ginger beef was absolutely massacred in the deep fryer. The family sitting next to us also had ginger beef that was wildly over cooked.

I believe this place took new ownership last year and has gone down hill since then.

By far better service than the previous owners and servers. Makes me want to come by more often for a visit.

Just had take out from there, Nov 23/24. No matter where I eat Western Chinese food, I always get beef & mixed veg because it almost tastes exactly the same no matter where.
Here, it definitely did not taste anything like any other place. It didn't even have an oyster sauce taste, which it's supposed to. I know, I cooked in a Western Chinese restaurant before.
Their sweet & sour boneless pork had a gravey taste to it.
I will never eat there again.

Not worth the price. The fried rice was full of FAT, not chicken! Do you know how gross it is to eat chicken fried rice and it’s all fat in there? Same for the chicken chow mein. The ginger beef was good under the previous owners but this stuff was mushy.. yuck! The only saving grace were the chicken balls. Not bad. Reading these reviews and I’m not sure if these people have ever had actually good food or if we just had a bad night. Nearly $120 for Chinese food that will go in the garbage - we won’t be back!

I can’t believe the poor management. I placed on order for pickup and my boyfriend went to pick it up. I placed it 45 minutes to a hour in advance and added to the notes what time he’ll be there. They gave him the wrong order…okay it happens so he went back and the waiter was sleeping! That’s right sleeping, so my boyfriend wakes him up. He says ā€œhe wasn’t expecting us so soonā€ I called the number from the website and start asking what’s coining on but after 30 seconds of him cutting me off to say I’m sorry he hung up. No explanation to where the food was. After another 10 minutes they finially gave him our food. Instead of refunding the card from the first order they gave him 30$ cash when the price went from $46 to $78

I've been staying in town for work, and to save a buck or two, I've mostly been dining at A&W. Someone suggested I try The Canton House. To say I was pleasantly surprised would be a gross understatement. The B Combo I had was some of the best Chinese food I've ever had—so much flavor! šŸ˜‹ It was fresh and hot, and there was enough to feed me for two days. 😱 The crazy part is, even with a tip, it only cost me a few more dollars than A&W. šŸ’° #Foodie #ChineseFood #HiddenGem #A&W #TheCantonHouse
