Starlite Diner Car is a classic spot offering homestyle cooking. Despite occasional delays, the overall experience is pleasant. The diner's Sci Fi theme adds a unique touch, making it a cool photo opportunity. Reasonably priced meals and top-notch service make it a must-stop location for road trippers, with special attention given to kid-friendliness. The restaurant is spotless, and the staff are fantastic. The ambiance is reminiscent of Men in Black and the movie Paul. The atmosphere is quite distinctive. The waitresses were humorous and attentive, providing prompt service. The food was decent, offering a sampling of the daily menu. The Monte Cristo and Caesar salad met expectations. The chef's spin on a traditional salad, dubbed the Crop Circle salad, was fairly portioned, as was the side order of fries with gravy, which boasted a robust beef flavor. They grabbed a large bowl of Clam Chowder Soup as well as a hot roast beef sandwich with fries. The soup was good and very filling. There was plenty of roast beef and the fries were the star of the dish. The coffee was pretty good for a diner. They also grabbed a piece of coconut cream pie to go.
