We had a pretty awful experience last night. Now to give some context to this review there were only two other tables with people at them last night, and there appear to be two servers and a bartender working the floor. When we arrived we were told to just find a seat, so we did that, it took 15 minutes before our server sauntered over to our table, even told us that we needed to wait another 2 minutes before he could take our drink order, and then he sauntered away, 5 minutes later he finally sauntered over to our table to take our drink order. The drinks came over fairly quickly although my husband's order was wrong, and my drink was less than tasty. Our server then took our orders, and the food came out very quickly, I personally did not like my dish but my husband thought his was delicious, unfortunately our server did not come and check on us until my husband's plate was almost empty so even if I had wanted to express my dislike of the dish it wouldn't have been in a timely matter. When our bill was brought we had decided that we were not going to tip our server, and we decided to share with him why he was not going to be receiving a tip, while we were explaining the lack of tip he was argumentative, he was talking over us, and just very rude in general. We will not return to The Marrow after this experience.

We waited for 45 minutes before a different waitress came and took our drink orders again and brought the drinks within a minute. She also brought out our appetizer and took away the dishes after we had finished. We ended up only tipping the waitress that actually waited on us.

Terrible/slow service, ordered something off the menu specifically because it said it came with something but didn’t. And when I asked the server about it she said “oh yeah, it doesn’t come with that anymore” but was given no warning and no compensation.
When you’re paying this much per plate you expect decent service and an accurate menu.
Not sure that we’ll be back.

We had a large family celebration with 40 people Marrow and we were very impressed with their organization and efficiency with our meals and drinks. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and very accommodating!

Went here for supper on New Years Eve. Reservation was at 7pm. When we arrived most tables seemed to be finishing or finished up meals. We were seated promptly but after that, things took a turn. Waited 20min at the table before even being acknowledged. Our waitress then arrived and asked us if we wanted water then left without even taking our drink orders. Came back another 10min later. At this point we knew we also had to order our meals. Drinks and meals came out quick and delicious! However, we were never checked on or offered more drinks. Sat another 20 min when she finally came back and offered dessert. Let us know our dessert options and never came back. Had to stop her just to ask for our bill, and waited another 25min for our bill. A gentleman then came by and let us know that waitreses called in or no showed that day. If that was the case, I would recommend letting people know that. Heard other tables complaining as well. We were the for two hours and could have left in 45 if service was prompt. This was my first time here and was terribly disappointed in our waitress and the service given by her.

Went for a large event pre booked, they had very little staff on, took us 45 min to get a drink and food was just ok , prices are expensive for just ok food. Won’t be returning!

What a beautiful restaurant! The service was great (we did go on a holiday and not many people were dining in) and the food was pretty decent - my mom enjoyed the strawberry spinach salad.

This place is a joke I asked not once but twice to have my burger cooked only for it to be red both times. My group had two people get the same burger and it was cooked properly. The second time I told the waitress, Kelly, about it she snapped at me and said to check alberta health services and that “any educated chef would know that burgers can be pink” which is obviously wrong. I’ve grown up on a farm and have worked with butchers all my life and have more than enough knowledge to know this is not true. The chef then came walking past our table laughed at me and continued on his way. Absolute joke of an establishment I will never be back and nobody should dine here. I treated everyone with the outmost respect which they responded with rudeness and hostility. This entire process took not only 2 and a half hours out of my evening but I ruined my and my groups night. This place is awful I will never be back, save your time and go to McDonald’s. At least they will cook your food.

We waited 2 and a half hours for half of the food to be served then the rest came out another hour later. Additionally, our food was sent staggering where three of our friends were served almost an hour before the rest of our party. Our waitress was also extremely rude to us. It’s upsetting because we were looking forward to this meal — don’t advertise to university students if you’re not going to give them the time of day in the restaurant (filled our drinks once) and then treat us poorly when we bring up issues with our meal. The staffing needs help as obviously some staff have not been trained on manners
Hostess lady was nice but the waitress lady with the glasses seemed to be in a mood. When we walked in, she asked us if we have a reservation, and when we said no, she said ok and just walked away and into the kitchen. Hostess lady came and seated us eventually, but for whatever reason the waitress pretended we didn't exist for the rest of the time. We left after 10-15 minutes after sitting at our table because the waitress never came. We felt bad because the hostess seemed to be trying her best.

Never coming back unless prices are halved

food and price was not great, not much sides either for the price, it only came with fries and some veggies (which tasted like literal earth soil) bread from steak sandwhich was super dry! had to always drink water when i take a bite. much better to go mr mikes same price with lots of sides. poutine was good.

Food was yummy, staff were friendly from the very moment we walked in the door, and it's such a cool place, however my problem lies with the price... $32 for a steak sandwich and $6 for a cup of whipped potatoes was a little expensive... And that seemed the most reasonable price item on there... Most shareable items.were running around the $22 mark
