Markjoel's BBQ and Cafe

I’m from Nova Scotia living in Calgary. I’m used to cheap Filipino foods and was kind of surprised when I got into town to find Filipino food here so expensive for very mediocre meals. I ordered here with low expectations but the price really surprised me with how cheap it was (cheapest I’ve found in AB) and how good it was. Best BBQ I’ve had in Alberta and the cheapest. Keep it up Kuya!

I went here before and the food was very good. But sadly today I didnt had a chance to eat here because I didnt know that they dont serve the menu they have before. They only serve now is bubbletea and waffle which is so weird because they should have updated the website they have so people/customers would know. The location now is also confusing. For me its a waste of gas and time.

We ordered extra large roasted pork / lechon. The owner communicating with us said the "dinuguan" will be included, but when they delivered it, they said they forgot to bring it with them. On top of it, the lechon is still pinkish in the inside which means not fully cooked. Trying to reach out to the owner, been a week of reaching out but no response, deadma Lang. Paid in cash and they didn't provide receipts. We have pictures that we could probably submit to AHS for review if the owners won't do something about it.

Had the liempo (pork belly) with garlic rice. Outstanding food! Will be back!

Excellent BBQ that goes super well with the spicy vinegar and garlic rice. Very hospitable owners and great prices. Highly recommended!
