The food and service is both phenomenal! The elk ravioli is to die for!

We went there Feb 15th for Valentine's Day and the food was amazing. The Valentine's Day menu was so good!!! I recommend the scallops. I've never had better scallops. So yummy. The staff are very nice and the atmosphere is quiet and romantic. It was a very pleasant evening. I will definitely go again.

the food was done right and very tasty the drinks again spot on they make an amazing smoked bourbon and finally the staff very engaging and friendly this is my go to spot and is on my go to spot when I want to relax and enjoy the evening with my date

Amazing food, great service and cozy atmosphere. Have been here many times now and have never left disappointed! The Bourbon Braised Beef and the Creme Brûlée are absolutely amazing!!!

I don’t often make reviews for a business unless they truly stand out and tonight was a stand out performance!

My fiancé and I went to the The Casual Canoe Bourbon & Craft Kitchen in Cold Lake tonight to help them celebrate 1 year of being open for business and they did not disappoint. Even though I’m currently chugging down the sober train tracks…their selections of bourbons are absolutely stellar and thankfully their non-alcoholic options were just as good!! Totally recommend the non alcoholic LOGO Hazy IPA ?

We started with the scallop appetizer, then our mains came out shortly after and we finished with a wonderful dessert. Because it was their anniversary we also got a gift for attending. This place deserves nothing but praise. We’ve been twice now and both times were so good they sit fondly in my memories. The service is perfection, the atmosphere is warm and inviting and the food is to die for. You can tell the pasta is homemade, the beef is so tender it falls apart, the dessert punch with flavour.

Congratulations on one year in business and I hope you continue to serve the community for many more years to come!!

From the moment we walked in the door the staff was so amazing! I had a birthday card waiting at my table with a gift inside from them. So thoughtful. The drinks were the best we’ve have had, the food was delicious, the atmosphere and staff were top notch. Absolutely impressed by our experience at the Casual Canoe. 5 star service on all levels! I can’t say more amazing things about this restaurant!

it was our second time visiting this amazing establishment and they exceeded our expectations once again!

it started out with being greeted by the kindest lady and even though our table wasn’t ready just yet (we showed up early) she was kind about it and let us know we could have a seat or hangout outside and wait for our table.

once our table was ready we had a table by the window and even after coming back almost a year later our hostess remembered us and asked if we had this table before and remembered we were there for a special occasion the last time which we were shocked she actually remembered! we only had to wait i’d say 5-10 minutes before getting our drink orders in which might i say the gentlemen bartending did a phenomenal job on our drinks! my spouse had a bourbon which he said was the absolute best he’s had considering the last time we were there he had the howler head which he really enjoyed. our waitress was knowledgeable and informed him that the old fashion style of the bourbon he wanted was the best way to order it and sure enough she was 100% right! they have the best drinks in the lakeland and we truly enjoyed every sip!

then it came to ordering our dinner which was a hard choice considering all the food on the menu sounded so delicious and if my bank account could handle it i would of gotten one of everything lol!

we ended up getting two orders of the bourbon braised beef that came with roasted carrots and garlic mash. this meal exceeded our expectations and was absolutely delicious! the meat was so soft and tender the carrots and mash perfectly cooked and don’t even get me started on the gravy talk about mouth watering! we let our waiter know how amazing this meal was and even asked if gordon ramsay was in the back cooking as the food was so good! we wanted to get dessert so badly but were too full to enjoy one of the many amazing desert options haha.

over all this restaurant is amazing and i would recommend it to anyone and everyone! the prices may be higher then the average joe is used too being it cold lake alberta but they are definitely worth how amazing the food is how outstanding the service is and how comforting and relaxing the environment and atmosphere is!

the owner and staff should be so proud of themselves and how amazing this business is. thank you for an amazing experience and we will be back for any and all celebrations i love the casual canoe and could go on and on about how amazing this restaurant is!

so from my spouse and i thank you for everything and we can’t wait to be back enjoying the delicious food and drinks!

It's a lovely dinner. The food tasted quite good and the decoration created great atmosphere. The steak was soft and well cooked. I highly recommend to try it.

Customer service was very friendly and considerate. The restaurant has a nice lake view and there's plenty free parking.

I visited and stayed in Cold Lake for five days and came here twice. This is a must-visit restaurant in the area.

The steak is an absolute knockout cooked perfectly, not tough, melt in your mouth, dessert and the choices for non alcoholic drinks are much appreciated. Natural flavours, cooked when ordered so it’s all fresh, fast food has no love, this food was cooked slow and cooked with love. Staff are amazing and very thorough and professional. As someone who grew up local and am used to not having many date night restaurant choices, the casual canoe is going to be on top of the list from now on. Reservation is definitely the best way to insure a quick seating and a warm welcome. Thank you for the much awaited quality dining experience so refreshing!

By far the most delicious gourmet meal we have had in Cold Lake. The service was amazing and the atmosphere and decore were so perfect for an intimate celebration. Our server Janique was exceptional and anticipated our every need. She also chose our wine to go with our meal and it was spot on. Let’s keep this lovely restaurant in our community. If you haven’t tried it, please do!!

Had an absolutely amazing time!!! The service was excellent and the food was phenomenal. The patio seating has a wonderful view of the lake; we saw the Northern Lights while sipping our after dinner drinks. The Casual Canoe is a major highlight of our trip to Cold Lake. Highly recommend!

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. My husband and I, we're celebrating 2 years married. I booked a reservation because it was the only decent nice, restaurant on the water at Cold Lake. We were not served because supposedly some of the staff felt I was intoxicated. Perhaps they are not comfortable with bubbly, happy people. Casual Canoe you lost out on a few hundred dollars this time and future times!
