Historic building with a restaurant in what used to be an auto repair garage. Food was excellent and the service was fast and courteous.

Shorty’s in Crossfield is unique and serves up very tasty & generous portions. Unique meaning it is an old automotive garage converted to a nostalgic restaurant. They make the very best fish and chips. Pretty much all you can eat. Lots of old car memorabilia to look at while enjoying your meal. Excellent!

Very expensive for what you get. Came to almost $70 for 3 meals + appetizer (chicken burger, chicken fingers, kids grill cheese and mozza sticks). Food was sub par and the service was non existent

Really cool atmosphere but it’s expensive for what you get ($13 for 7 mozzarella sticks, $18 for a plain chicken burger). It’s VERY self serve, the hospitality wasn’t great. Have to find everything yourself, get your own high chair, put your own dishes away etc. Was barely talked to and no one really even looked our way. Maybe we came on an off day, but I’d expect a little more for these prices.

We came here after recommendations from others. It is an old garage and the decor reflects it. We ordered a 2 piece fish and chips and a cod sandwich. You pay before getting your meal. I paid $43.27 (tip included). When our meals arrived I got 1 piece of fish. When I asked about my order I was told that I only ordered 1piece, however I clearly paid for 2. $16.99 for the cod sandwich , $19.99 for 2 piece fish and chips, plus taxes and tip! The cod sandwich is a lot of bun with a thin piece of cod. Rather than causing a scene we ate and left. We will not be returning.

Always fresh & delicious! We keep coming back because of how light & crispy the fish batter is.

Cool spot, interesting history, food is alright, portions aren't well balanced. Too much fries not enough meat. Wouldn't likely go back.

Went for the fish and chips as we were told that they were fabulous. They were OK. Thin pieces of fish that fell apart making it difficult to eat. The battery lacked flavor.
The prices were a bit high for a dinner in a small town.
