The Coffee Shop in Devon

It’s been over a week since my last visit, which was so memorable I felt I had to share. I’ve never received such bad service in my life. My fiancé and I came in to grab bagels (because they are actually amazing) but due to stock being low, we were told we couldn’t buy the 4 bagels we wanted. Not because they were out but because they were needed to be saved for later costumers. We were told this very rudely and loudly in front of all the rest of the cafe. As far as how a business is run, it’s serve the costumers you do have, especially when you are currently baking more product. Even if we wanted to take two of the bagels they had lots in, the cashier refused us and in this case our money also. Very disappointed with my last visit.

This is a great place for bagels. If they are willing to give you any. We came in on Saturday to pick up 4 bagels. Due to shortage, the person behind the counter refused to sell us the bagels we wanted. Not because they were out (and making more as we were being scolded) but that they couldn’t give us our order due to other customers coming in later that day. I found it rude that as a customer, I’m asking for a service they could provide but wasn’t given it because they needed to save stock for other customers. We were treated very rudely as well. Service is not worth the food.

This coffee shop is adorable! The fireplace outside seems like a great spot to enjoy a nice hot cup of coffee or tea in the morning.

The bagel sandwiches i ordered were fresh and delicious. The “Fully Loaded” is a great combo of flavours, especially on the everything bagel. Service was a quick as expected— a slight wait but it’s clear they make your sandwich to order so it’s worth the wait!

Absolutely loving the new owners! Staff seems way happier and the vibe is better! Went in and got greeted right away, the staff were super friendly and efficient! The coffee was delicious and they informed me how everything is homemade down to the syrups they use for lates! The food is to dieeee for. I always order a bagelwich and not once has it disappointed me. While I wait for the food the staff has always had small talk with me and it’s always been pleasant. This is by far my favourite establishment to eat/drink from. (I always end up craving some of their delicious bagels right after work). And to top it all off it’s a family owned and hire locally!

amazing experience at the coffee shop! glad to have a business in town that isn't corporate and gives back to the community. Bagels are sourdough and delicious. coffee isn't super sugary like Starbucks and the staff is amazing. love the #girlpower

I dont understand why people such as Lilly keep dissing the business. I've never had an unpleasant experience here and if I did I wouldn't keep going back and making new reviews. we should be embracing the small businesses in town especially the ones that support local. it'd suck to see this amazing spot close.

It's been taking over with new ownership but the same amazing staff.
The new owners are amazing and so nice. It's nice to know that they care what the town is looking for and wants. They try their best!

Quality, family run coffee shop. The owners and staff are always friendly and attentive. Service is typically quick even when it’s busy, and the pre-order website works great if you’re in a hurry! Prices are comparable to any specialty coffee shop, and the made-in-house selections are incredible! My favourites are their inventive monthly beverages, and their bagels with cream cheese. So yummy! I also appreciate their weekend hours for those of us who work all week.

Great service with a smile and delicious food and coffee! Definitely worth the stop!
