I REALLY want to give this restaurant a better score! Our family travels to Drumheller annually, and O'Shea's is a frequent stop during our visits. As always, the food was amazing, and the service was quick and friendly! However the cleanliness of the restaurant is a zero out of five stars. I know it's a pub as opposed to a Michelin star restaurant, but that's no excuse for what we encountered. The walls and windows were dirty, the blinds were dusty as if they'd never been wiped down, the window had crayon drawn all over it, the window sill was covered in dead flies and fruit flies, and there were more house flies and fruit flies buzzing around us the entire meal. Despite how delicious the food was it makes me shudder to think what the back of house is like when the front of house was so filthy. I'll happily update my review if things have improved the next time we travel through!

We were here 4 months ago, so bear that in mind. But, I ordered the fish and chips, and it was not only the worst fish and chips I've ever had, it continues to haunt me. Thick, raw batter around mechanically separated gelatinous fish - cornstarched clumps of unseasoned fries. I was upset I ate there instead of the nearby McDonald's. Server was nice enough.

Pretty good burger and fries, great waiter. Very dark room though. Had to use my phone flashlight to read the menu.

The service was exceptional, such that I want to leave a review !Warm and inviting staff, delicious wings, and the coffee lager was a surprising favourite!

Server was very pleasant. Other than that, very dissatisfied. Food took way longer than you'd expect, even considering it was busy. Nothing came out together. One thing at a time over 15 minute period and kids' food came last. And then, none of it was very good, except the fries and soup. Not worth the price at all and also was over charged when I reviewed receipt! Told server to keep the extra charge for herself (hope she did).

Got the steak bowl. Rice was hard and dry like day old rice. Told our server and she said rice “made daily”. For the price, I’d expect made to order. Other than the bowl the burgers and fries were excellent. Skip the rice get a

Food was okay, the waitress ( blonde with arm band tattoo) was a bit strange, she'd made faces of distaste when we ordered our drinks and food . Dont know why as she wasn't the one eating. I asked for clarification on some menu items, and she talked back to me like I was stupid :/ not a great server. The younger hostess was lovely though.

Stopped for supper on our drive through town. Not the greatest little place, they seem to be suffering with staffing issues. Food was just ok, and it probably helped that we were hungry and the town was over run with the long weekend. Our waiter was beyond good, the only saving grace for this

I had mixed feelings, on one hand the waitress was super friendly and the food was delicious. On the other I ordered a ceasar to drink and it was just awful, which isn't a huge complaint but it just kinda spoiled it for me. But honestly the food was delicious.

O’Shea’s was a good experience overall. The atmosphere was pleasant, the service staff were attentive and prompt with both taking our orders and bringing the kids’ food out quickly. The kids mac and cheese we found to be quite bland with the cheese component seemingly missing. The kids fish and chips, on the other hand, was a hit. The beer menu was diverse and was a highlight. The pickle fries were delicious but I would pass on the calamari as it was simultaneously bland and fishy. The steak bowl was also a let down as it was mostly rice with limited toppings. The steak on top was good, however. The wings and burgers were excellent! The convenient location for hotel guests is ideal and it is a good alternative to the worn out menu of Boston Pizza. I would come back.

Parking: Lots of parking all around the building

Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. The kids menu offered a variety of options, they had small water cups and a great bunch of colouring pages and crayons.

You gotta eat here! Beer was good the appys and burgers were great. We had 7 of us in our group and we were just one of 4 large groups in the restaurant. Service was fantastic and food came out hot. Gotta try the pickle fries….they’re a hit! Good restaurant to hit when you’ve parked at the hotel for the night and want to hit a restaurant that makes the adults and kids feel equally important. .

Unfortunately I cannot recommend at this time. I came in with a party of 5 adults and 4 children. The restaurant was not overly busy in the dining room. We were sat by a vary nice hostess and we were introduced to our server shortly after that. That's when things started to go south. Our server was very friendly and tried to help us but it took awhile to get our drinks then longer for her to return to take our orders. Once our orders were placed we waited 30 to 45 min and nothing had come out yet. We spoke with the manager and they did then manage to get the kids meals out 10 min after that. We waited another 5 min before 2 of the adult meals came with the rest no where is sight. At this point we were informed that the kitchen was all new staff as they had several people leave a few days before. We opted to cut our losses and leave. The manager was amazing and understood our frustration and did not charge us for anything. I hope they can get everyone trained up soon as I think it would be a good place to go once that happens.

Outside of the restaurant looks quite cosy but once you get inside, you could tell a lot of people have come through those doors. We started off on the wrong side of satisfaction, when the one server working, said “I’ll be with you in a minute” as she walked by to take a tables order. I thought to myself why wouldn’t you point to one of many empty seats and say go sit over there I’m just gonna take an order and then I’ll be right with you. So we stood there for five minutes until another server came out of the kitchen and sat us. We then sat alone for 15 minutes before we got a menu. Once we ordered it took 30 minutes for our ice tea and kids cherry cola to come. Kids drink were mostly syrup and we wanted to exchange them but no servers were around for almost 15 minutes. At that point, I could tell that 90% of the service problems was the kitchen. When we finally did get our server, I informed her that they were not to our satisfaction as they were mostly syrup and she exchanged them within a few minutes, but then immediately returned back to the kitchen. We sat there for one hour and 10 minutes waiting for our food to come. Once the food came, it was fine, I mean, there was no complaints about it but it definitely was not a memorable flavour that we will crave to come back to you. When the server did come around again, just as we were finishing our meals to ask I how it tasted we said it’s fine and I asked for the bill. Our server took a hot step and grab the invoice machine and came back instantaneously so I came up with some Smalltalk; I asked if this was busy for them and she said it was having 5 tables out of 30 occupied for Friday lunch. I then asked what it was like living in Drumheller and we got a good honest response, which was nice. I then had to ask if they found themselves waiting on the kitchen constantly as I identified every single server in there upon delivering food, or drink, immediately return to the kitchen, and only came out when they had items in hand. It’s clear there’s problems in the kitchen at this restaurant with productivity and time management but our server was great and I genuinely felt bad for her. I wish I could’ve slipped a tip directly into her pocket as opposed to putting it on our credit card as we’re very familiar a portion of the tips get divided amongst kitchen staff every night and it’s clear in this circumstance the kitchen staff should not be earning tips as they are struggling to keep their head above water in a restaurant that had 20% capacity.
