It was our second time visiting this place. We ordered too much food last time not knowing the serving size. This time we both ordered the fish and chips. It was really delicious the batter they used wasn’t greasy which is the best. I don’t like greasy. The gravy was delicious as well. We teased about the Newfoundland fish and chips with dressing/onions/peas with gravy. The owner got intrigued. Maybe one day we will see it on the menu ☺️ looking forward to trying something new one the menu next time we visit.

Stuck in this little town(Entwistle) due to unexpected car trouble, and this diner turned out to be an absolute lifesaver! The food is good, hot, fresh, and comforting. But what really stood out was the staff, so kind, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. If you ever find yourself passing through, definitely stop in.

Small town diner along Hwy 16 in Entwistle with really good burgers! My kids love their milkshakes!
We ordered pizza to go and I have to say it was really good. We will try it again next time we pass through that area.

Don’t let the outside of the building discourage you. Really doesn’t look like much from the outside. However, it compensates with food flavour and portions size.
The bacon Swiss mushrooms burger had an average normal patty you can get anywhere. It had a cream of mushroom sauce and a fair bit of mushroom added and bacon. We requested no onions and they accommodated our request, which was a bonus.
The large fries were really good, crispy texture to the fries itself, not overcooked, and a fair bit for the price you pay. The chicken Cesar wrap had a nice garlic Cesar dressing. The chicken was moist and had lots of chunks of large diced chicken too.
Everything was warm. The wrap was slightly burnt but edible. The deep-fried Mac and cheese were good but the portion size for 8 of them for 9.00 is a little steep. Granted they do inform you of how many you get for the price you pay. Still nice though in flavour and texture.
The guy who started our order was friendly but he had to go back to cook. So a younger girl who was not as friendly took our order. Clearly, she didn’t want to work. However, she did repeat the order back and took everything down correctly.
Both bathrooms were clean.

Sammy's restaurant is one that my family and I make a point of visiting as often as we can. We live in Edmonton but we sometimes just make the drive for the amazing pizza and ice cream. The staff is polite and are always working hard. The owner always makes sure we are satisfied with our food and he is very friendly. I highly recommend it!
