I was in town on business and stopped here for lunch. Charming! Home cooking style food with everything fresh and baked in house, from the bun for my sandwich to the fresh cut vegetables in the soup to the delicious carrot with cream cheese icing muffin. Top quality taste all around. Complete coffeehouse menu properly made by the friendly baristas. Service was quick even at the steady lunch hour when I was there, as it was appropriately staffed. Highly recommend!

Way back in the day, when it really was Grassroots Bistro, I worked here. Walking into the space now, it's incredible to see how they've retained the original charm of the location and honored that but also modernized it and made it their own. The Dutch decor is adorable, and each piece is so unique. The little local artisans selling their wares and the big couch and lounge area in the front make it a great place to stay a while. The food was great. You can tell it's handmade with care, and the flavors really come through. We had the sausage roll and the chili soup, and both were easily the best I've had. Normally, I don't care for a sausage roll as I find them too greasy and the dough dry, but theirs was the perfect amount of flaky, and the filling was nice and light. We dipped pieces in the chili soup, and it was a perfect combination. The soup was spiced perfectly and our drinks came out fast. Stopping here definitely hit the spot and next time we're back in town? We will definitely stop in again.

Cutest little bistro!!! So absolutely lovely and warm and inviting! It is just wonderful to see local venders set up inside as well, brings a homey feeling. It is very clean. The washroom is great!! Fun little place, and a nice place to take family or friends. Recommend for sure ?

Never go past Fairview without stopping here. The old bistro is a gem of the Peace Country. Great cup of tea and treats.
