There was a menu change that now requires you to get protein. And if you don't want it you still pay for it.
I’ve been a regular Chopped Leaf customer for years and have always appreciated their fresh, healthy options. Unfortunately, my recent experience at this location was frustrating enough that I won’t be returning.
I ordered the Bangkok Bowl, but when my order came out, it was a wrap. I let the staff know there must have been a mistake, and instead of handling it calmly, the person at the till rudely insisted—three times—that “you ordered a wrap.” I’m certain I didn’t: I avoid bread, and I definitely wouldn’t choose a noodle-based dish like the Bangkok Bowl in wrap form.
After an uncomfortable and tense exchange, they agreed to remake it as a bowl (after I paid an extra $3). What I received wasn’t very fresh, was overloaded with sauce, and mostly made up of dry rice. I ended up throwing half of it away.
Back at the office, I shared what happened, and a few coworkers mentioned they’ve also had disappointing experiences at this location recently. It’s unfortunate to see the service and food quality decline at a place I used to recommend.
I get the same salad all the time. At this location the salad was half the size it usually is; half the lettuce, seeds, and feta and they didn’t put any yams on my salad nor did they give me a pita crouton. And what was worse was I gave myself enough insulin to eat the yams, my blood sugar ended up going low and it was so awful cuz I was on a date. 😞 No one ever rights the wrongs so now I just try and make people aware of good and bad when it comes to food service.
Fresh food, friendly staff, and great portions. Perfect spot for a quick, healthy bite!
The staff are always very friendly and the food is great!
Very good food! I go here regularly
By far the best Chopped Lead in the Edmonton area, I've been to many and this one always has the biggest and best wraps and service is always great!
My husband picked up a salad for me. To my huge disappointment they have changed their salad ingredients? What used to be the Bangkok salad is now mostly lettuce. He paid $13 for lettuce, a tablespoon each of peanuts, chopped bell pepper, noodles and a tablespoon of edamame beans. Paid extra for having the evil peanut sauce on the side. Paid an Additional five dollars for seven shrimp. The total for the salad was $18. This is insane. There was no brown rice like there used to be, no broccoli, no mushrooms. I fed it to my chickens. I was so upset. I won’t be back. It used to be my favourite place to go for supper or lunch. Then when I phoned to ask about whether they had changed the ingredients, I got somebody that couldnt understand English. They finally put somebody else on who also didn’t speak English very well so they didn’t understand what I was trying to say. They kept asking if I wanted to put an order in. All I wanted to do was clarify if the ingredients changed in the salads. I wish I would have thought to take a photo of the so called salad. Oh well. Lesson learned
Forgot the main part of my meal, on skip, called and asked for a refund if i could pick it up tomorrow and gave him my skip order number that was bought a few hours ago for my boyfriend which i didn’t know till now. the worker tells me that there is no order number with that number when i’m clearly looking at my receipt order number/the address of this place which said southfort so wasn’t calling the wrong place. called again to ask for the manager wouldn’t give me the manager and then finally said i can come in tomorrow and show the receipt after i had just said that and was told no sorry. unprofessional
The order took over 20 minutes to get. There was only 1 person working. Then when he gave me my soup he told me that it’s cold and I’ll need to warm it up. That would have been useful information 20 some minutes earlier.

Went to chopped leaf today for lunch and ordered my meal. The entire time there the workers all spoke in their language which was very uncomfortable for me and quite rude. Regardless I ignored it. Got my food and left to work. The avocado was only a few scraps that somehow was managed to be cut from a NOT ripe avocado which tasted awful and was thrown out. Then I continue eating to find a fly dead in my lettuce. It’s not a small fruit fly either, which would lead me to believe the lettuce does not get washed here at all. Immediately ruined my appetite so threw out my $17 lunch. Will never dine here again.

Any one else remember when this place served *the best* salads and wraps?I used to enjoy getting food from The Chopped Leaf and used to take my little cousins out for lunch, because the fun food names made them happy. I will not be any more, I probably wont even get my own meals from this location any more, even with the food names being the best part of the menu.I ordered the Bangkok Bowl with chicken & avocado and I must say the quality is so diminished, I will likely never give them my business or money again. For $18 and change (+tip), I got a bowl that was approx. 2/3 full of dry, hard cooked rice. There were 3 thin slices of avocado and about 2 ounces of cooked chicken. Both are addons, that add up to about $5.40. Unfortunately, I also tipped 15%, not expecting the quality to be so low. I regret my purchase and ended up throwing most of the bowl away which was only rice left any way.
