Had my birthday lunch here today and it was wonderful. The food was hot and fresh and tasted amazing. Very reasonable prices and good size portions. The homemade bread was incredible. Our server was so funny, friendly and helpful. Great way to celebrate my birthday.

UPDATE : January 2026 Those earlier comments about inconsistency? Just growing pains. Since then, everything has been awesome! The food is back to being absolutely delicious, and the portions are generous again—you’ll probably leave with leftovers (especially if you fill up on that amazing bread and seasoned oil first). Eccellente!
If you go, definitely check out whatever special they’re running—it’s always worth it. The seafood pastas and the salmon with pasta dishes are molto buono! Between me and my family of five, we’ve never had a single issue with food quality. Prices are still super reasonable, and the whole experience feels like a treat every time.

We've had many of the pasta items and do far there have been no complaints, even the kids loved it. I highly recommend this restaurant, it's a bit of a hidden gem in Fort Saskatchewan.
Try it, you will almost certainly not be disappointed.

We decided to take our children to Modo Mio so that they could try a more family run restaurant instead of the chains in town. It was fairly busy that weekend evening, but we were promptly attended to. Our drinks appetizer came out quite quickly, along with the fresh buns and oil for dipping. The herbs and spices in the oil really enhanced the flavour of the bread. The mozzarella sticks were quite tasty and the kids devoured them.
Their kid's pizzas were quite large and they really enjoyed them as well. My wife ordered the lasagna while I ordered the pasta combo. Unfortunately there was something about the taste of the lasagna that neither of us really enjoyed. I believe it was the beef in the lasagna that just seemed to need more seasoning or something. The manicotti and 4-cheese tortellini included in my pasta combo were definitely more flavourful. The portions were quite decent given the price.
Modo Mio will definitely be in our rotation of restaurant options moving forward.

My family and I have eaten here before and I’ve never been a fan. The food is mediocre at best but typically cold. My partner wanted to try it, we waited 17mins for someone to take our order after we had to remind them. Then we each ordered a main but my boyfriend also ordered a salad. The guy was pretty judgemental and asked if we were “sure” about all three meals. We waited a bit for drinks, then I just excused us and told him not to bother even placing our order. There was another couple who also had been waiting on service. Only like 5 tables full total. The only good thing about this place is that it’s fairly priced. Lousy job.

I was unhappy with a take out order I had. I emailed the restaurant and they replaced my entire meal at no cost to me. I am happy with the outcome and feel they handled it well.
