Ted's Restaurant - New Management

Well this may be one of the worst food experiences I've ever had. I guess the sloppy excuse for a cook/waiter/owner must be Ted. Since it was my first time here, I decided to ask for the special (mushroom burger) and fries (can't screw that up, or so I thought). There certainly isn't anything special about this food. It's all frozen, canned, and micro-waved garbage. The Bun is a low grade processed Dempsters bun, canned mushrooms, soggy onions, Campbell's mushroom soup, processed frozen burgers, processed cheese. Terrible gravy that taste like it has cherry paste or something in it. It will make your guts roll just looking at it. I asked for the "homemade" blueberry pie and he microwaved it until it sat level with the edge of the saucer. When I complained he gave me attitude and says "that's the way the filling is". Listen, a piece of homemade blueberry pie would have blueberries that can be seen, a nice crust, about an inch high or more, warmed in an oven and served with a smile. Not a gelatinous, corn starch based mess that's nuked till it's glued to a saucer. The man is clueless, rude, and clearly incapable of running a serious business. I was angry with the food, the price, the service, and at he end he says "do you know how many mushroom burgers I sell?" Yah, to what average age of people 80-100 year old's? Gordon Ramsey would eviscerate a place like this. If you want to attract people at least have fresh food and a good attitude. This place is gonna sink and it deserves to.

Love the food at Teds restaurant Gunn it was so delicious and good I had a donair poutine with a coca cola this is a really good restaurant.

The food is really good, especially the chicken wings! Friendly staff as well. Overall I recommend Ted’s restaurant :)

Had the donair was great but if your hungry you better order 2 of them. Fries were good and service was allright

Had the cheese burger. Came out cooked very lightly. So it was moist and juicy. No crispy bits on it. Not sure how its prepared but it was cooked and tasted fine really. Fries excellent. Just wish there was more.

Stopped for a afternoon snack. Thought a clubhouse will be a good place to start. I would say needs a touch more meat. But for $15.95 ish i guess that’s the going rate. Just bacon and turkey on this with the tomatoes and lettuce. Was a bit dry for me around the end bits. But still alright. Ask for double meat maybe if u like that. Fries are golden and crispy.

Great experience! They are new owners so you can’t judge this place off old reviews. It’s a simple diner, good food, good service and clean. We had clubs, hamburgers and donair. All were good! Will be back :)

If you like liver & onions- this your place.
Veal cutlets- best I’ve had in a long time. We found the portions great/ service and overall atmosphere inviting. We will be back for sure.

An inviting restaurant to visit. We had liver and onions with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, fresh salad and homemade pie. Ted and Lena are wonderful new owners. Will definitely return for a great meal!

We went for breakfast on Sunday morning. The breakfast was great! Really good omelettes! Service was friendly, and new owner introduced himself to us! Nice guy!
The Reno’s inside the restaurant look great! Nice and tidy and clean! I would go there again!

Had a fabulous breakfast the other day! This place is newly renovated. Very cozy. Owner and staff are very hospitable. The menu is very reasonably priced. I can't wait to go back and try the supper items! Highly recommend!

Food was horrible. Potatoes were dried up, toast was hard/dry, as well as the mushrooms were dried up in the omelette! We all had to throw our meals out since we took them to go and didn’t open until we were back on hwy. This was back in fall, and I forgot until I saw picture again! Coffee was good, but that’s it.
