We had tried the tim hortons right before that and they were busy closing up for the night although it was still 20min before their advertised closing time.

Rolled into Hanna, Alberta — the holy land of Nickelback. Naturally, I had to stop at A&W and order a BLT Chicken Burger meal. You know, just to feel closer to greatness.
Here’s my honest track-by-track breakdown:
🎵 “Photograph” – The Chicken Burger Instant classic. Crispy, juicy, and stacked with flavor. Every bite had me staring at my sandwich like “Look at this photograph…” It hit all the right notes. Honestly, I’d download this burger to my Spotify if I could.
🎵 “Someday” – The Fries Someday… these fries might have salt. Someday… they might taste like something. But not today. Limp, bland, and as disappointing as finding out your favorite band’s reunion tour is just a rumor. These fries didn’t even try to be good — they ghosted my taste buds like a bad ex.
🎵 “If Today Was Your Last Day” – The Meal Overall If today was my last day, I wouldn’t be mad I chose this chicken burger. But I’d definitely regret not subbing the fries for literally anything else — even a napkin might’ve had more flavor.
Staff were friendly, service was quick, and the burger rocked. But those fries? Total “Never Again.”

This is my favourite A and W in the whole world - always friendly service always cheerful always fresh- they helped me quickly and took my order - she lettuce wrapped my burger because I don’t eat bread - even gave me napkins and a straw as I was walking outside - top tier service ! Talk about profiling. My fiance and I walked in and were told we were not allowed to dine in because their bathroom was out of order. 5 minutes later my grandmother went in and used their rest room with no issues.
It's a super small space - so I wouldn't suggest dining in. But the service was good, it's clean and the food was good.

Stopped at Hannah for a quick bite en route to Calgary. A&W is a tried and tested option that never fails to disappoint, a quick Papa Meal with Onion Rings and the classic Root Beer - 10/10 legit hunger response! The staff at Hannah A&W was polite and super helpful. Clean, nice spot for a great burger stop on the way. Highly recommended.
