I went for dinner here with a coworker. This restaurant does NOT have A/C and it was hotter than outside (27 degrees Celsius). We were sweating the whole time. My rootbeer was served just in a can which was dirty on top. Flies accompanied us. The interior was dirty and outdated.
Then we received our food- we both got the pho. The soup was bland, large chunks of onion, beef pieces that were not the typical thin slices of steak meat, and loads of bean sprouts already in the bland soup. We had to put soy sauce into the soup to add flavour, and it was still bland! Overall it was a disappointing experience.
Then came the food poisoning… it has been over a week since I ate here and my stomach is still recovering. I had the worst food poisoning I’ve ever experienced. I did call the restaurant to report this, to which the manager was very apologetic and offered a refund. I refused the refund and just asked him to PLEASE throw out all components of the pho dish. My coworker also became ill so I am confident it was the meal we ate here!

The chicken balls are tough and dry, like they've been reheated several times. The shrimp are similar. Beef and broccoli is decent but the noodles are dry and bland again. My take out order was ready 30 min BEFORE I wanted to pick up so it got cold and strangely soggy. Walking in and out of the place felt like I was walking into an 80's back woods restaurant. We won't be going back for a very long time. The food used to be good here, but since the ownership change it's really gone down hill, and all the while the prices increase. Not satisfied at all.

Disappointed after seeing positive reviews. Server was friendly. The place smelled of cleaner or something else. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken balls, dry ribs and fried rice. The chicken balls were served in a bowl. They looked good, but the outer layer was very tough and chewy, The dry ribs were certainly dry and bony chunks.. The rice was dark brown and bland. The server was apologetic. I will not be back.

I've been here a few times now and there has never really been too many people inside. Probably because I've gone around 7 pm😂. I've gotten the Szechuan beef dish and steamed rice and it's so good!! I believe the Beef is designed for 2 people but it's not too much food but it contains enough. The atmosphere may not the best but the food is pretty good!

We were here last Friday for lunch. First impression when we walked in was it smelled like a public washroom. We ordered the special dinner plate 1, get 2nd 1/2 off. It was chicken fried rice and chicken balls...The chicken balls were more dough than chicken, the dough wasn't fully cooked and tasted previously frozen. The rice looked like it was going to be flavorful, but it wasn't, It was bland and needed soya sauce 🤔 even though it was already brown!
The service was non existent...no one came to see us after our food was dropped off.
We just moved here and I had heard the Chinese food up here was good, we were looking forward to it, disappointing! 👎

Everytime I pass through High Level I order from here. The food is delicious, and the employees have all been very friendly.

Their Honey Garlic sauce is probably the best I've ever had.

Quality of canton food has gone down since they sold to new owners. Not the same. Very disappointed.

The food is still delicious!! it’s never a miss, food is always served super hot and fresh and never takes long to be ready. the man working the front counter is very friendly. Yes it’s different since Lana sold but the food is still the same, 10/10 and i order almost once a week.

Under new ownership, and definitely not worth the price now. The portions are way smaller, and the food is disgusting. Forget going down hill, this place went off the cliff!

The food was ok, but the price was ridiculous! We got our normal dishes and it was at least $40.00 more than the last owners and about $60.00 more than when Lana owned it. I can't see it surviving at those prices.

Food is decent but doesn't matter as they are never open. They take a few months off for holidays then we're only open a few days before closing again for the past few months. This place was way better when Lana and her family owned it. Has been a steady decrease in quality, service and hours open ever since.

Do not do dine in eating. And always seems to be closed, today it was kitchen preparation, should be done before opening. Food is okay, but wish we had another Chinese food place. I'm giving Good Hands a chance today, just wish they had a dinner package.?

I’ve ordered from this place 2 times in the past 10 day. First time, I immediately noticed the vegetables in my wonton soup were very overcooked. Far too soft and soggy. My second time, with the chicken chop suey, delicious sauce but veggies were a mix of undercooked and over cooked. Didn’t know what you’d get until you pegged it with a fork.

Also, this place has strange family dinner meal deals for American style Chinese food. It’s either chicken balls or spare ribs, with your usual chicken fried rice or chow mein. Any city folk visiting will without a doubt be let down by the lack of sweet and sour pork or ginger beef, which don’t exist anywhere on their menu. Sorry but nobody wants just spare ribs or chicken batter balls with their combo meal.

This place is just propped up by locals who don’t know how much better the food could be.
