Surprised how great this Denny's X Bar One combo was in High Level. Stopped by while I was traveling for work and this little stop turned into a great lunch experience. Staff are friendly and attentive. Decor is tasteful and reps the Oilers, very clean and most importantly, drinks came as quick as I ordered them and food was just as fast. Made my lunch break 10x better than what I expected.

I feel like I had a very different experience from the other reviewers. We arrived around 7pm on a Monday and were the only people in the place. Despite that, the food took quite a while to come out, and some of the dishes were not even hot.
Our server was alright. She took our order and brought our drinks quickly, but then checked on us only once, didn’t offer us any refills, and ran away before we could answer how the food was.
The chicken bacon ranch sandwich was pretty tasty. The chicken was juicy and nicely breaded. The fries were standard fare. The gravy was gross. It was like package gravy from the store poorly done and hardly warm.
The fish was well breaded and the fish tasted fine. Nothing special. The Tatar sauce was meh.
The fried chicken was delicious, well breaded and fried and juicy.
The chicken fried steak was good, as was the sausage gravy.
There were three sides of mac and cheese, and one came with extra melted cheese on top, while the other two didn’t. No idea why. It was definitely better that way, though the noodles were so soft from being overcooked that it was just a big goopy bland mess.
I’ve been a Denny’s fan for a long time, but their consistency has gone down across the board in the last few years and it’s just not worth eating there anymore. I do not recommend it.
