Edoyaki Sushi High River

I was really craving some sushi and tried this place today. It was the first time I had ever been served sushi on warm rice. It didn't work at all. The tuna looked like it was half cooked by the rice. I was hungry, but this was the first time in my life I couldn't eat what was served in a sushi restaurant. I will not be going there again. I hope this review helps to make improvements.

I've been going to Edoyaki at most once a week for months because it got me through high school and it's the best sushi ive had anywhere. The portions are massive for the price and prepared on order, it's delicious and the hot dishes (ramen, rice dishes, appetizers etc) are so warm and comforting during the winter. It's also just a good restaurant to sit in, there's cool stuff on all the walls, the ambiance is incredibly calming and it was a really nice reprive during exams for me. 100/10, highly reccomend.

This is why I love discovering hidden gem in a small town. This is one of the best Japanese restaurant we've been. Nothing fancy but for the price, the food is amazing! The salmon for $14 is so generous at the same time absolutely fresh! This is coming from someone who loves salmon sushi so much and picky on the freshness of any sushi. Our party of 8 ordered different stuff from the menu and all are very satisfied as the food is great! Definitely will comeback when we drive again down Southern Alberta. Highly recommended!

Amazing customer service and somehow even better sushi. We came in less than an hour before closing, ordering for 6 people. The employee must have made ours with extra love because WOW!! We stuck with the basics ( Dynamite and California ) definitely recommend! Next time I'm in high river I will be back. Just for the sushi. 10/10

Consistently delicious sushi, very reasonably priced and very friendly. I don't eat in, but I know when I go in to pick up, the restaurant is always very clean. I highly recommend!
