The British Tea House

Very nice little place with good food and friendly staff. The proprietor is definitely from the UK with a delightful accent.
Amongst other things, we had black pudding which was something we remembered from our childhood. (We all agreed that it was better than what our mother served, sorry mom.)

They sell a variety of various British made goods as well as importing the ingredients for many of the foods they make and serve locally.

Overall, very good authentic British cuisine in a nice tea house atmosphere.

Really disappointed, arrived today 20th July at 2.36pm and door was locked .Staff opened the door as she saw me and was mopping , and said kitchen closes at 3 .Clearly not 3 and on the website it said it's open till 4pm .I told the staff member we came all the way from calgary. No response from her .Really disappointed, won't be recommending this place to my friend .What a waste of gas and time

Wow, what a gem. Anyone missing England I recommend coming here. I had a child’s breakfast with chips and toast with a large pot of tea and all the good was cooked to perfection. All the little details make this place from the china to the bottles of English brown sauce and ketchup on the table.
I will be here again very soon. Thank you for taking such good care of us!

Giant tea pot for one guy, you can order at the counter or have table service . If you order at the counter you should know what you want (I think the server was in an urgent mood when I arrived). Kinda reminded me of my nan from the 80s which was plenty nostalgic. Lots of buttery meat pies and snacks to draw me. Back

First time here. Food was hot and tasty, service was good. I ordered the Full English breakfast. Everything was great but I feel dollar to quantity is a bit off so I would go back but it won't be my "go to" place. $20 for the plate in the photo...🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Visited from out of province! What an amazing experience and wonderful food! Just like being back visiting England! Had such a wonderful meal, start to finish, and the staff here in High River were so kind and friendly, and went out of their way to make us feel just at home. 10 out of 10 if I could! If you’re in High River, make the stop! You won’t be disappointed 🤩

Was there a couple of times while on holidays during August . Both time we had same staff Amber and Dawn they were wonderful so knowledgeable when I asked questions about various items . I asked Amber for a recommendation she said full English and explained some things could be substituted . She recommended I try the blood sausage I think it was first time I have heard of it but never tried it . It was really good then both ladies were taking there break and I was asking questions they were so friendly and new there stuff. I have had my own business hard to find good staff the ladies made it very enjoyable experience.

We stumbled upon this place while searching for a new place to eat in High River. We were pleasantly surprised with the great selection of British items on the menu and the tempting sweets strategely placed around the space! ? We ended up visiting their other store in Okotoks afterward.
