Came on a Saturday night reso for 5-

Service was awful. Incredibly slow and disinterested. Waited 15 mins to order a drink, and one of the meals came before the drinks even arrived. Tried to order a second drink and it took so long we forgot we ordered it.

Several in our group ordered the buffet- food was incredibly average for the $45/pp. Only 2 meat options, and the desserts were all stale. For that price, we would’ve gone to Blacktail and had better food/drinks/service. Disappointing experience overall, would not return.

Recent visit and pasta was a bit too salty. Also, knocked off a star because they took off a pasta dish that they would make on special requests and it's not on the menu anymore. Great service and wonderful views.

The pasta we got was pretty bland. We got the chicken parm and the spaghetti and meatballs. The chicken tasted like it was a chicken tender that you air fried. The spaghetti lacked any sort of spice. We also got a pizza to start and the was the highlight of the entire meal. The staff were polite and helpful however did not mention any extra charged for cheese to be added. The outcome of the food was not worth the price.

Expensive Mediocrity

Atmosphere - the wood ceiling is coming apart, peeling large strips of veneer. Wheelchair access to the restroom requires that the chair be picked up between the vestibule doors and rotated about 25°. Access isn't possible without strong assistance. Sitting everyone together while there is lots of space and servers, including the loudmouth people with tattooed necks boasting their distaste for everything, doesn't make for a nice lunch.
Service - the floor manager appears to be gossiping with her service personnel snidely about the guests.
Food - Gluten free pasta was undercooked and hard, pasta sauce was very acidic tomato with tiny chunks of zucchini at or past its expiry date. Gluten free pizza which is difficult to get right was right but, it had no pizzaz. Caesar salad had nothing going for it either.

Note, I was sick for two days feeling very much like those gluten free noodles were not gluten free.

A decent family-friendly restaurant at the Pomeroy. Not what it used to be back when it was the Fireweed but still fine and will serve your dining needs. Be careful about how much the buffet is for dinner. Group price differs from individual. I asked for orange juice at breakfast and didn't end up getting it. Not a big deal. Service was friendly. Restaurant was a little noisy and busy.

An upscale restaurant at the lodge that has a decent collection of drinks and food. Slightly on the costlier side, with limited food options, but the food was delicious. The view from the restaurant window was excellent, it just improved the vibe of the place multifold.

We’ve been to the Pomeroy a few times for Christmas and loved the Dinner Buffet at Forte, with 2022 being their best year. However, this time we were really disappointed. We paid $90 per person for 6 people, and honestly the meals were worth no more than $30. Not as much selection and previous years and the food was just meh. I love that the hotel is so family oriented, but when you’re paying $712 for a meal, you expect your experience to be at least somewhat luxurious. Between lack of dress code (guests in pyjamas, track suits etc…) and loud kids with poor manners being seated in the main (supposedly fancier) dining area rather than in other portions of the restaurant - it was like paying $700 to eat at a glorified boston pizza.

Have been coming here every Christmas for a dinner with my significant other for years. We have watched the menu and buffet wither away over the past couple of years but we always come up as its tradition. Fridays dinner menu for both the buffet and to order was the worst we have seen it. The drink menu was especially lacking as well this visit. The service was decent didn't have any issues, but it wasn't outstanding either. For the drive, location, and price, I expected a lot better. Likely to be looking for a place to start a new tradition next year. Unfortunate.

Had very mediocre food here met with excruciatingly slow service on a sunday morning. We had hoped to walk around a bit more after breakfast, but it was almost noon by the time we finished breakfast here.

I had the eggs in purgatory, which took at least 30 minutes to come out...and the egg whites were not set. I like my eggs runny, but these whites were translucent. When we finally flagged the server down, he assured us that's just the way they do it in Italy, and seemed like I would be disrespecting the dish if I asked for it to be sent back. It also felt like half of the dish was just garlic.

Then after that exchange we basically didn't see the server again for the rest of the visit. Couldn't even find him to get us the bill. Considering half of the people in the restaurant had the breakfast buffet, and there were quite a few servers there, could not understand the lack of service.

We really should've just checked out earlier and had breakfast in town instead.

Would highly not recommend the buffet, at $45.00 per adult the dinner offering was very disappointing and incredibly overpriced. Kind of bizarre for such an expensive hotel to have such mediocre food.

Risotto was good. Buffalo chicken pizza was the absolute worst! I felt like I opened the salt shaker for dinner. WAY too much salt in the dough, sauce, chicken etc! Overpriced, terrible atmosphere and server was not good. First visit here and would not recommend it and definitely would not come back.

Had lunch at the hotel, amazing service, I want to recognize Bestin, he was our server and was very patient with us, super polite and accommodated everything. Employees like him are a big asset for the quality of the restaurant. We’ll come back again. Thanks!

Food was awful especially for the price.. the sandwich was probably as big as a junior chicken for $30, pizza was on the same level. Staff was generally nice but our server didn't seem to share their courtesy.
