Always great!

I really enjoy this beer and taproom. The fact that I can order my drinks and tacos at the bar allows me to interact with the knowledgeable staff. I also have the convenience of not waiting at a table. I really appreciate this experience overall and I will be back!

So disappointed. Love the beer here and stop in whenever I’m passing through town. But today we sat and waited for over 20 minutes and no one even looked at us to take our food and beer order. Had my growler and howler to fill too. So I left thirsty and hungry. Better luck next time I hope…

This establishment is a staple in the community of Lacombe and a must stop for passer by’s. The staff is always friendly, the place is clean, the taqueria is great and the beer speaks for itself. It is one of the best breweries in Alberta for a reason.

I was disappointed with the service and did not get a good first impression. We arrived to multiple tables open, but all were covered in dirty dishes and crumbs. It’s worth noting we were in the restaurant for about 5 minutes as we waited for a table to be cleared, but no one did that, so we just sat at a dirty table. The person working did apologize but it left a bad taste in my mouth. Overall the beer was good and food mid, but service is definitely lacking.

Edit: they did reach out but did not offer anything to make it right. They did nothing to make up for the bad visit. Not so happy with last visit. Had really high hopes. Dietary restrictions were ignored at the taco bar and got served flat beer.

Not the friendliest of places. Cups were dirty and pints were filled 80%.

We came knowing we love their beers, and were looking for somewhere to take the baby out of his car seat. We were pleasantly surprised to find a whole little corner of books and toys to help us keep our kiddo happy.

I had already tried the Blindman River Session and the New England Pale Ale from this Lacombe brewery on previous Alberta jaunts, but this time, I was heading through Lacombe on a gorgeous October day. There was no reason not to stop and sip at the very source. The taproom is lovely, and the server let us try so many types - both regular and featured beers. It was a real treat to have the opportunity to try so many side by side. I went with one of the featured ones, a Maibock. The parking lot outside is dressed up like a patio with some picnic tables. Most of the guests were taking advantage of the sun that day. They had a fire going which was a bit smoky, but would have been welcome on a chillier day. Took some Long Shadow IPA and New England Pale cans to go. Will definitely stop every chance I come through. A fabulous addition to the area.

I've enjoyed Blindman's beers for years and I'm so glad I finally had the opportunity to visit their taproom in person! We had our dog with us and thankfully, they have a very dog-friendly patio with cozy couches and lawn games. Pro-tip: go to the dog park across the street first and find the flyer offering a free pint!My husband and I started by ordering a flight of 4. I specifically asked the bartender for 4 beers I wouldn't normally be able to get in Edmonton and he had some great suggestions. I especially liked their 24-2 Brett Stock Ale which we ended up buying a couple bottles of to bring home. They also make an excellent sour.Blindman is great and definitely worth a visit if you happen to be in Lacombe, but if you don't, their beers are sold in stores all across the province and they offer delivery in Calgary, Edmonton, and parts of central Alberta.
