Was looking forward to the experience considering the reviews. I ordered fish and chips as it had good reviews. To my dissapoitment, there were 3, 1 bite fish sticks and the slaw was like wet lettuce beside a stack of soggy fries. Never have I ever and nothing else matters.

The smash burger is delish...LOVE that they have 2 options for gluten-free buns...tho the cheese bun is MY fave!

Very disappointed with this trip. We have loved meals in the past at both the Red Der and Lacombe location. This time I ordered the favorite fish and chips while daughter had the burger of the month and son had the smash burger. We were seated quickly and given drinks and orders taken but then - crickets. At the 35 min mark after waiting for the meal we asked a passing employee who just served another table and she said she would have our waitress look into. 10 min later two more staff delivered our meal. Burgers were good. Both kids enjoyed. My fish came out much different than I’ve had before. Usually a large piece is presented this time it was three skinny pieces. One bite in and regret was felt. It was pure batter no fish. I pulled the batter off to find the fish and found a little piece. Well it was so over cooked it was almost as crusty as the batter. So that was done. 5 min later waitress stopped by (fyi no drinks topped up either ) to ask how we enjoyed the first bites kids both said theirs were good but daughter mentioned my fish was overcooked. She did offer to get me a fresh piece but by that time I was just over it and kinda turned off and declined. Finished up and went to pay. Was slightly surprised the price of the meal i couldn’t eat because of the cooking was charged at full price but decided to just chalk it up as a life lesson and likely will not return. Sad though as it had been a family favorite for some time.

In our little city, we’re lucky to have businesses that not only serve incredible food but also pour their hearts into the community. Cilantro and Chive - Lacombe is one of those places. Rieley, Kim, and their hardworking team go above and beyond—constantly evolving their menu, creating an amazing atmosphere, and always showing up to support local organizations like ours (and so many others!) with their burger of the month, donations, love and expertise. Their generosity and commitment make our community stronger, and we are beyond grateful for all they do. 💙 Thank you for everything—you are truly a MVP in our city! #SupportLocal #CommunityMatters #StrongerTogether

A delightful little gem in central Alberta, this place may not serve massive portions, but the food is tasty, and the staff is warm and accommodating. If you find yourself on highway 2 near Lacombe, it's definitely worth taking a quick 10-minute detour for lunch or dinner. They offer a solid variety of local craft beers and something for everyone's taste. Plus, it’s a great spot for families!

Met a friend that I haven’t seen in a long time. We sat and visited for hours, the staff were perfect checking on us occasionally. We enjoyed some good local beer and excellent food

I had been to Cilantro and Chive a week prior. Had the Four Squash Ravioli and it was amazing! Went there with my husband last night for a date and I was thoroughly dissapointed. The fries were so salty we drank all of our water and ice tea. If you make good homemade fries which these were you don’t have to add salt on top as well. I ordered the ravioli again and it was horrible! There was a puddle of straight oil in the bottom of my dish I used three napkins to try and soak it all up. The sauce which had been light and creamy was dark and congealed and tasted like it wasn’t fresh. Last week when I had ordered the dish it came with two slices of toasted focaccia which was delicious. Last night I got a toasted piece of white wonder bread! We prefer to sit at booths when we go out. The bench was so low I could rest my chin on the table without barely bending down. We love to support local but we probably won’t go back. As shame I knew the owner when he first started and realy took pride in his food. Not the same now.

I have never been able to say this about ANY restaurant before....but this is the absolute best I've ever been to in my entire life. I had water, 2 Caesars, and the chicken sandwich with mixed greens. Even their in-house salad dressing has my mouth watering. Every bite, every aspect of it was amazing. I couldn't stop raving to my server about it. What an absolute gem!!!! ? % recommend!!!

Kid-friendliness: We were in town for a hockey game bright and early Sunday, so we went out for supper Saturday evening. We had 3 12 year Olds and they were all very excited. Our server was just amazing.
