I ordered butter chicken sauce and Nan their Nan looks and taste more like pizza crust to me and their butter chicken sauce might as well be served with crackers because it’s only tomato soup in my opinion

We were headed back to Red Deer after a day hike and decided to stop and give this place a try. The service was very friendly, and at one point a little boy (who was maybe 6 or 7) came up to our table and casually asked if we were satisfied with our food. Very cute. The food itself was quite good, and the portion size of the 6 piece chicken strips, and the chicken biryani were pretty large. Overall impressed with this as a lunch or supper stop. I’d say expect to pay $14-21 per person.

Orders are far smaller than previous owner. Rice was about 1/4 the previous size serving. Loved tasty bites but with prices up and quantities reduced so much we will not be back. Sad to see the changes

I used to order pizza at this restaurant before this year. donair pizza is my family's favorite. However, it was a very bad experience this time. donair pizza was completely different. The ingredients were ridiculously simple and the crust was very thin. A large pizza is the equivalent of a small pizza Usually, I could only eat two pieces of Donair Pizza and I was full this time ate five pieces, I do not know whether it is changed the boss or chef, will not come again

My partner and I stopped here for lunch on our way home to Calgary from the farm. We spilt a large Donair and butter chicken poutine. The portion sizes were quite large and we left feeling quite full.We are more accustomed to spicier Indian food, and found the butter chicken quite bland. At home, we make butter chicken from scratch with all the right masalas, so we found this butter chicken sauce quite lacking in flavour and quality (I.e. not made from scratch). If we ever came back again, we would ask them to make it a touch spicier in the least.The cheese in the poutine is pizza mozzarella and not cheese curds. Nevertheless, the poutine was still full of cheesy goodness, but traditional curds would have made it on point.The atmosphere isn’t bad for an independent restaurant in Lacombe, but you could definitely tell this was once a Coffee Time back in the day - there were still some coffee time times in the bathroom.All in all, we had a decent visit, and would potentially consider coming back if we needed to stop for lunch on the way home and wanted to support local.
We ordered 3 pizzas tonight, and thought they took a little longer than expected, the flavour and service were incredible. The place was hopping when we were ordering, so I was not surprised, or disappointed by the added wait, it is beautiful to see such a hard working staff accommodate such a crowd. There were two ladies who were the shining stars, attentive to every need, and a couple other things we didn’t even know we needed! Will certainly be coming back, 5/5, 10/10, love what this place has become for Lacombe.

I've been there a couple of times. Not my favourite restaurant. The food is ok but nothing special about it. I had the fish and chips, not too bad. My husband had the donair and it was so dry, he didn't enjoy it. ?
