While I was waiting for service June 24th around 10am ,5 employees were in the back eating fresh food
products off of the preparation table while bagging them for sales counter. Not safe food practices.
Stopped in at Cobs Bread đ to delicious smells, friendly customer service and homemade goodness on Discovery way Leduc. Made my day with the smile and suggestions to help me pick out the best cut of Apricot bread and assorted goodies!. I just missed the bakery assistantâs name. She was 10/10.

The ladies at the counter are so sweet, so kind. Everytime I buy my bread etc I feel so welcome.
You have one job, to make great bread and pastry.
My first time trying the products and definitely my last.
I bought 3 different danish and one scone. All of them were horrible. It was the Leduc location and I was travelling or I wouldâve returned all of it. The biggest oddity to me is the pastry is like a hunk of bread. Pastry shouldnât be bread like but rather flaky and buttery rich. Just such a surprise to be prepared for a treat only to be given something so far off the mark. The scone was tasteless and barely baked through.
Beautiful store, great service, product quality is abysmal. I have never had their bread so canât comment on it.

On July 20 I stopped at the Leduc location on my way to RedDeer and bought a peach custard danish and a ham & cheese croissant. The girl behind the counter was very nice & I have no issues with her. But the food was terrible. About 20 km out of Leduc I opened the bag to find an over baked dry âcroissant â with the cheese leaked out and a thin tiny piece of ham that didnât even cover 1/3 of it. It could not be called a croissant⊠it was dry bread dough. Not flaky or buttery at all⊠it was awful. The peach danish was no better. It was over baked ; dark brown on the bottom plus whatever custard there was had been absorbed by the paper bag. It should have been placed in wax paper. All in all Iâm finding Cobbs to be way over priced ($7.00 for a mini loaf, $4.85 for something passing as a croissant) & at this store at least the quality is lacking.

They sold me burnt $8 bread....I usually love the Cobs Jalapeño twist bread and every so often I treat myself to a loaf. This time around I decided to treat myself and buy a few other things like danishes and their pizza (which were fine) but I didn't notice what my jalapeno loaf looked like because they piled everything on top of my loaf, imagine my surprise when I found they'd given me a burned loaf. I swear they snuck it in thinking I wouldn't notice because of the other items I bought... but this was barely edible. It tasted burnt and it was really crunchy. This bread isn't cheap and honestly this is going to be my last time going. I cant believe they'd sell burnt trash like this. Went right to the garbage and I can't afford to just throw out $8 with the way inflation is right now.

Alert to the owner: we came to buy bread ladies working tonight said âsorry weâre closedâ while loading bins and bins of loaves off to a donation center. Turned away paying customers. We walked right in not allowed to spend money. I know this is a franchise and the owner is paying these staff and losing money giving bread away your staff wonât sell a loaf when hundreds going out the door for free?
Kid-friendliness: My kid tried to get the door for the delivery man we actually held the door for him then told by staff they would t sell a loaf because they were closed could have given my disappointed 5 year old a bun or something.
